Prosecute her for wasting police time, the book should be thrown at her for such horrendous alleagations.

which book? Mein Kampf?

Very good my tubby punter.

Too many assumptions are made on why. Too many conclusions jumped to, without as far as I’ve seen, any real information from those that matter. Who and why. I’d like to see more analysis on this.

Excellent post by the way, Pap.

Why do they continue to come?

It makes me v.angry when ppl say the immigrant bros are trying to escape war. That is not bro imo. If there was a war in this country i wouldn’t be slinking off to sweden or wherever in a craven worm like fashion, i would be getting stuck in, or at very least i would be sniping enemy bros from a safe distance. It’s v.offensive & prejudice to suggest that immigrant bros are more cowardly than english bros imo.

It’s much more likely that they think there is great opportunity for ppl, even ppl with no obvious talents & who can’t speak english properly, to make good dollar in UK & probably they’ve heard somewhere that English women are slack. In short, what i am saying, is they’ve probably seen TOWIE.

You miss my point on why here, Europe is supposed to be safe if the nations they are passing through are keeping their obligations, fleeing war and persecution is completely understandable, who wouldn’t?
But why here?

I miss nothing, B. If you’d read the 2nd paragraph you’d find I addressed that Specifically, although it wouldn’t help you v.much, because it was sposed to be A Joke About Towie.

And you miss my point - we need to understand about more about the circumstances these people are living in in these safe havens, and be empathetic to what that must be really like, to understand why they keep risking the lives of their families by escaping them. The thinly veiled accusations that it’s just because they want to make money are as under researched as the opposite viewpoint. If you’re going to ask ‘why?’ then genuinely mean it, and stay open minded about the answer. Otherwise, just make a damn statement.

I wasn’t insinuating anything, if Europe is safe then why here? If Europe is not then why? Valid questions and perfectly reasonable, no hidden agenda at all, why are we being chosen over Portugal etc etc? Is it economic or fleeing persecution?
Two different things altogether.

I don’t know Barry, but I want to know - it’s one of the biggest issues in Europe at the moment, and we need deeper understanding of motives, rather than the usual crass assumptions on football forums. If you’re not insinuating anything, why did you end with “is it economic or fleeing persecution? Two very different things altogether.” You sound like you’re trying to lead people to a conclusion or catch people out.

One reason Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, gave, was that people in Calais have family in the UK, and are wanting to join their families. Which makes some sense. But there was no deeper analysis on numbers etc. I think we need some kind of major study on it; maybe there is one that I’m not aware of. Beyond that it’s just assumptions.

Wasn’t the family that were allowed to join up here in the UK given permission due to extenuating circumstances? An economic migrant is totally different to a refugee fleeing their homeland, surely that is something we can agree on.

I have always said women, children, gays and the disabled should be allowed into this country no question, the question of perminent residence will have to be assessed as Sweden are looking at deporting over 80,000 as they are supposed economic migrants not refugees.

Well of course an economic migrant is different to a refugee. I’m just questioning why you keep asking ‘why’ all wide eyed and mock innocent when you’ve clearly already formed your opinion on this. If you’re going to attempt maechavelian cunning, at least be less transparent about it.

I have no idea to what you are alluding, I want to get to the bottom of this as much as you do, if they are here for economic purpose they’ll have to join the queue, we should all pull our weight for humanitarian causes, Saudi, Serbia and the UK etc etc.

Aren’t the French supposed to register those at Calais? #europeitsworking

I don’t spose they will all be same reason, Barry. Here is some reasons why bros may prefer UK, which ones would you let stay pls?

  1. My brother lives in Leeds.

  2. I know a guy, I used to got to school with him. He lives in Leeds.

  3. I speak good English. I don’t speak French or Spanish or Italy or Germanic or whatever.

  4. I am trained Nurse. I hear UK is short on trained Nurses.

  5. I am homosex. I hear UK is v.tolerant for homosex.

  6. I hear UK women is slack.

  7. I’ve got pancreatic cancer and a false leg. I hear UK is good, free, health service for bros.

  8. I hear UK bros are friendly & nice.

  9. There’s thousands of us in this immigration death camp. Some are staying here, some are going to Sweden. I’m trying UK. We’re sharing it about. It’s only fair.

  10. I hear that’s where Barry Sanchez lives. I’m his biggest fan.

So they are economic migrants and not refugees? I’m confused.

Don’t be dumb, Bazir. They’re refugees, but ur asking why refugees might prefer to live in UK, rather than i.e. Spain. That Is What You Was Asking!

If a refugee are in Europe and Europe is supposed to be safe and they want to be safe but aren’t safe and are not saying who they are and not paying the fare and going to Calais for a holiday and make a camp in the woods then they are working holiday makers yes? I’m confused as if they were refugees they could declare this at the first point of entry into Europe and we then have a commitment to help them as it is in the EU treaties?

I’m confused.
