It’s clearly a cropped box brownie photo of Mrs Slowlane being seductive
You’ve obviously found a local supplier…what is it you’re actually on?
Ah, so maybe I need to dig my glasses out then
Oops
Still wading through the task of scanning my black & white negs. Sometimes the task becomes a delight when you don’t remember having taken the picture. This from a 1978 outing on The Watercress Line. The subject is my very good friend, the late John J Philpott MBE FRPS.
John was a good footballer too. If you have read Terry Paine’s autobiography “Constant Paine” John was Paine’s minder and mentor when playing Centre Half for Winchester City.
This is from the first roll of black & white film I ever shot, processed and printed. It’s of my mate who was an “expert” scrambler and rode in the British Championship series.
14th March 1976 at a location familiar to @BTripz but today he’d be horrified by the desecration.
The bike is a KTM 400.
Another of my mate Phil Davenport (no.78) leading the best motocross riders in the world into the first corner at Matchams. The event was The Hants International on Good Friday 8th April 1977.
He said before the race, “Get down to the first corner and get the picture, I guarantee this bike will out-drag any other in a straight line.”
He was right…
Could have gone in the “Pleasures” thread but if you were out early this morning the sun was shining for a while.
Little Molly races around chasing sticks in the Bluebells…
Another young lady from a studio session back in 1978…no idea who she is. Just a hint of the eyes adds an air of mystery…
This is a small corner of probably the best known house in Southampton but nonetheless an interesting study in form, tone and texture.
It all looks ancient but the gate is probably less the 100 years old. The house dates back to the late 15th Century, I wonder how many different gates have been hung on this corner of Tudor House.
Fake unfortunately
Went out for a photoshoot the other day. My mate’s new acquisition, a 1956 version of my 1958 Karmann Ghia Coupe. My '58 is an unrestored survivor, his '56 a complete nut and bolt restoration.
Took a lot of colour pics for him but I can’t resist a black and white version. This one we stopped out the front of Grove Place in Nursling.
Are they now lovers?
I hope my '58 doesn’t sneak out for a quickie, the '56 only lives a couple of streets away. It’s unheard of to have two early KGs in the same village…very rare.
There are 17 ponies roaming the wildlife reserve that forms our morning doggie walk. Most people like the colour piccies but I can’t resist the special atmosphere created by the black & white versions. Horses are herd animals and on hot days, like all sensible animals, seek the shade.
This morning at 8.30…
That’s a superb photo. Absolutely agree regarding the atmosphere of black and white photography.
