My eye spotted that something was going to happen at the golf.
Called one of my snapper mates over, explained what would happen.
The leaders were playing up the final 18th and after they hit their tee shots I took my group across to the other side (away from the crowds)
I basically arranged Rory’s parents alongside Carolina Wosniaki his recently announced girlfriend
Stuart got the shots - inc great one of me talking to them.
Which he emailed me.
His main snap he said “if” it was as hoped he might make £10k for it.
It was front cover of Hello magazine worldwide
£50k just from them.
He bought beers. Lots of beers.
I got a great framed memory
I had a photo from the FA Cup final at Cardiff printed in In That Number, does that make me famous?
Probably. I was interviewed live by Radio Solent, on the pitch at The Dell after the final game. I was carrying a patch of turf on which Le God swivelled to hit the final goal against the Arse.
I think that makes me VERY famous.
I was walking from the loo at the Ageas & saw someone from Solent asking some guy how far he had travelled for the Eng v Pakistan ODI (Swaythling) and so I got interviewed. While chatting to them this voice (I believe) @Lets-B-Drinking booms out Phil?
So yeah. Does that count?
The station were losing enough listeners as it was.
I’ve missed street photography over the last year. The only gatherings I get to take today are horses and as they spend 4/5 of their day chomping on grass is difficult to get them interacting.
I haven’t been on the tube for years and as for exhibitions, if you’re carrying a camera you’re discriminated against where those taking pictures with their phone have carte blanche. Not fair.
I’d love to just walk London again like I did as a kid, just get on the train, 13/6 return to Waterloo and spent the day exploring. Never told my mum where I’d been.
Yep, those above were all on iPhone, although did have camera that day. The tube was bit quiet as was a Sunday morning as we headed to the Imperial War Museum. Loved the colour of the rusted crumpled Landrover , yet it was one of the least viewed exhibits… as those i the pic show, all looking elsewhere
Another from a studio portrait session from 1978…if the eyes are in focus you have all you need in a portrait.
I think they do.
I keep being drawn back to that shot of Old Town, Lisbon. Would happily have that on the wall
I’m sure I’ve a photo of that street somewhere- will have to look it out.
Is there some kind of appeals page the first world can donate to?
Send me your bank card details and the security code on the back of your card and I’ll sort a modest donation on your behalf…
Nope, like the black and white thank you
Eh?
