Thatâs the good news. The bug in polls closing dates is still there, as is Bertieâs latest incarnation on Twitter media (I fear!).
What ever you have done has stopped the site opening on my phone just get the sotonians logo up and name at bottom of screen and just hangs.
Other sites are opening fine on it though.
Try a forced reload.
Close (Exit) the browser and try again.

So, think about Discourse as a system in two parts.
The server (somewhere in the US) and the client (the thing that runs in the browser on your phone).
Prior to you reset, I had changed all of the server code but none of the client code. So your version of the client didnât know how to talk to my version of the server.

Not so much downtime - more slow time (potentially).
In an effort to fix the security warning on images not served from Sotonians.com, I will be rebuilding all of the posts in our database. It should run in the background and not be too intrusive but it could slow the forum down or take it offline.

tl;dr Sotonians is going to run slowly through the night until tomorrow morning.
Right, as youâve probably noticed I asked some tough questions of our server yesterday and it told me to fuck right off.
Weâve got a large backlog of jobs on the server that will be ârebakingâ all of the posts on Sotonians. This means that images that were posted from remote sources will be downloaded to our server which hopefully will mean that we wonât see those ânot secureâ messages from Google in the future.
The issue now is that we had 500K jobs to get through and it would take until the end of the week to do that organically. So Iâve told the server to dedicate some resource to tackling the jobs which means that the usual things it does will be slower.
The response times youâll see will be slowerâŚ
Iâll reverse the setting in the morning and by then it should have eaten into more of those 500K jobs.
I just wished I had a deputy to help meâŚ
Sotonians will be up and down like a tartâs thong whilst I try to increase the speed of processing our backlog of jobs.
