Too pissed off to say much but their back 3 were basically too good for us, especially in the air. If we’re bringing Long on for a goal, it’s desperate. Perhaps Ralph thought he’d win something in the air.
Redmond wasn’t bad, but had no real threat. Adams seems to have lost the ability to shoot. I’d probably still play them both next week as Broja can’t play and Redmond is a better defensive factor than Djenepo, but after that there have to be changes.
Really missed Ings. We had three or four chances when we won the ball on the press to create shooting chances, but no-one took anything on with conviction. Also need Armstrong S back. He can shoot, pick a pass and has a brain. Today it was all too slow.
Jiminez was brilliant for his goal but certainly made fools of Bednarek and Salisu. Did they dive in when they should have shepherded him away?

We never looked like doing much damage at all, until Djenepo came on. He’s a bit hit and miss but at least he ran at people and caused problems.
Other than that, meh. We were possibly slightly hard done by not to take a point, but I didn’t think we came close to meriting anything more. Disappointing game, with very few positives to take from it.

It could have been worse…we might have been 3 - 0 down in a local derby after 33 minutes.

It’s a shame how we seem to be making slow but steady progress in sorting our defensive play out but then sell our only proven goalscorer to decimate our attacking threat. No-one in that team will bag more than 10 goals this season and we’re going to need at least 4 of them to get close to have a chance of staying up but i cant see who will fit the bill playing that shite system.
We appear to do better against the better teams, particularly away from home when we can actually play on the break if we get the chance. At home our attacking play is poor, pedestrian and uninspired. I’m getting fed up with watching the meaningless passing in a fucking semi circle outside the oppos penalty box when they’ve got 11 men behind the ball because Redmond has dicked around trying to make up his mind what to do and given them a chance to get back. And why do we try and put crosses in when we haven’t had a decent aerial threat since Big Graz?
