Any idea why the ground was half empty?

Looked pretty full on the telly. Have you considered changing your deodorant?

There were loads of empty seats.

I did think that as well.

People are waiting for it to be mandatory to have a Covid passport when attending obv.

My view from the cheap seat.

In my experience many fans are still Covid cautious and aren’t ready to return to large gatherings.

Which is why I never went to the Man Utd game as I was not double jabbed until the day after it.

Joking apart.
My mates Nick & Paul who some of you have met at a pre match beer went to the Utd game.
Both got pinged and both caught Covid.
Both were “unwell” with a “really bad head cold” with “the most gruesome snot they’d ever seen”. They basically
Both were quarantined for 10 days and both believe that without being double jabbed they’d have been in hospital.
But it’s all fake obviously according to the internet

And before you say it, Nick has been getting 50 quid a week for doing a twice weekly PCR test as part of a clinical research trial.
Like he said. It has been paying for his beers, and he HAD to keep the App active

This is exactly why I have yet to go to a match. Maybe after a booster shot.
My best mate is a Leeds fan and under normal circumstances the home game to Leeds would be a cert and I would like to go next month.

It’s a real dilemna - haven’t been to a game for about 4 years.
Right now we have some tours booked and I may actually earn more than my 200 quid a month Furlough pay.
Looking into October in theory I COULD get back BUT 80 odd quid for a PCR test on arrival, 40 quid for a departure test and 40 quid for a ticket.
And the flights are 9.99
Then that news and the risk of being locked down here for 14 days and missing last minute deals with hot chicks. Sod that
Cvnts
