3 games unbeated too
'tater saying harsh red card for Antonio as he didnāt touch Moussa!!
When will they learn it doesnāt matter, it was the intent, he went in studs high!!
Diallo looked more at it too
Good last quarter, but fuck me the play beforehand -I gave up counting this misplaced passes and general fucknuttery
Still, Iāll take the point
Passing them into a false sense of security!
Thatās being very charitable
Iāll forgive it all, because for once we looked more like late winners than late losers. And for once, we kept it tight first half and went for the money shot when it actually counts for something.
Maybe, Iām a positive guy by nature!
No-one went for the obvious option in the poll
I did watch a live stream for 10 minutes in the first half, but decided my time was better spent sticking pins in my eyes. Please tell me saints played reasonably well and we took a point off whu rather than gave away 2- Borja chappy unlucky not to score .
If you have Ralphās ear, tell him we did good
Could easily have scored twice in the last 15. Very unlucky.
When I saw the team sheet I did think that I could have suggested at least 3 other players who would have made a better strike partner for AA.
Playing favourites with Redmond because he did well off the bench last time out was not a good choice IMO.
I take credit for that point
Didnt follow game at all and had Antonio as my FPL Captain
Ffs
My first live game for 18 months and Iād say we did well. Unusual to say, but defence was good. Unlucky not to win it at the end
I think Stevens and Salisu look a unitā¦amazingly.
Stevens after being the butt of everyoneās scathing criticism seems to have found a partner who makes him look goodā¦thatās not making light of his talents.
I actually got to the game - first for what seems an age as I missed Man Utd. And as Iām not into streams and the like, the first time Iāve seen us play since we lost at home to Newcastle in March last year.
As 0-0 draws go that was a good one, mostly because Saints looked like a proper team. We knew what we were doing and we kept a team that had started the season at a gallop to little more than a trot. Interesting formation - very much a 4-1-4-1 with Romeu playing just in front of the back four and Armstrong on his own up front. Something that clearly didnāt suit Armstrong - Broja made it work a lot better in the time he was on the pitch, and for my money he should have been on there a lot sooner.
The defence was generally very good, restricting West Ham to very few chances, and only one (from memory) that forced McCarthy into a serious save. Stephens played well, Salisu was excellent - really fucking annoying that he was penalised and booked for what looked to me like a very good tackle. The two of them look like a really good defensive partnership in the making. Perraud was tidy, Livramento looks like an awesome talent, though he did play a few too many sloppy passes.
Romeu was excellent until he was subbed; Prowsie filled that role well subsequently, but Diallo didnāt fill Prowsieās place further forward so well. In fairness, Diallo played pretty well, just not as well as JW-P had been. Djenepo was his normal frustrating self (though you could argue that his place on the pitch was justified by the block he pulled off on one of their free kicks and, even more so, by getting Antonio sent off). Elyounoussi was OK but no more than that, Redmond I thought was pretty decent (this will probably be a minority view).
Itās a shame, though, that we didnāt take the game to them more at times. On a few occasions we moved the ball quickly and unsettled them, too much of the time we moved the ball slowly and gave them time to defend.
All in all though, Iām looking forward to the rest of the season with optimism - if we carry on playing that way weāll be more than simply OK.
Agreed - apart from the absolute fuckton of misplaced passes - frankly, either misunderstandings ( being generous) or absolute ineptitude. Embarrassing imho.
Otherwise Iām happy with the result.
My head hurts.
