I ain’t hanging no head in shame.
It worked didn’t it? Got the result we wanted?
Never fails
(Almost)
Just realised that Richarlison played but didn’t score.
This must be like seeing that black cat, one of those glitches in the Matrix
Saints continue on positive note
Southampton appear to be hitting form at the right time to push for a European place or, at worst, a first top-half finish since 2017.
This result, part of an impressive sequence including a victory at Tottenham and draws against both Manchester clubs that could have amounted to more, underlined their upward trajectory.
Aside from the opening periods of both halves Hassenhuttl’s team were completely dominant.
Jan Bednarek and Tino Livramento drew excellent saves from Everton’s England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford during a concerted spell of pressure in the first half, while Kyle Walker-Peters clipped the outside of a post.
That largely continued after the break as Armstrong and Long gave Southampton the reward they richly deserved.
(Beeb OS)
We should give Zouma the credit for the clean sheet then?
32 points.
FFS 1 win 1 draw and we are basically safe, but tbh we could be anyway.
10 points clear of Everton = same as we are behind West Ham in 5th place
OMG they just showed our goals on National News here! Unheard of!
The reporter said
Potężni Święci byli cholernie niesamowici i najwyraźniej wyruszyli w europejską trasę
Interesting times
Does that translate as ‘what they don’t want to do now is let in 2 goals’?
Well, were fast becoming a very good team.
I think anyone of the side could have been named MoTM. One observation, where the hell does Stretch get his energy, he’s a fuckin’ machine, as much energy to cover vast distances in time added on as in the first 5 minutes.
For that reason (and the goal) he gets my MoTM.
I have no idea.
I no speako da lingo
It was fucking freezing in the Itchen.
Global warming does not exist unless it costs you money
A good game we deserverd to win
Do the Beeb have an unofficial site? I’d very much like to read it.
Think he means overseas
As a postscript to the game and thinking of our current good form I’m struck with a few lucky chances that seem to have helped us towards what now seems to be our best team.
McCarthy was injured resulting in FF getting a run of games without pressure and is IMO, back to his best.
Likewise Redmond and Elyounoussi, who somehow seems to fit the attack much better than Redmond. And SA seems to have benefitted from a long lay-off.
Livramento making such an impact gave KWP the chance to play on the left, where he’s shown a new threat cutting in and shooting, Sterling-style. And with the competition at FB, all three seem to be getting better and better.
An accurate summary
Apart from Romeu- he has been charged with providing the fans with a comic interlude in each game - he’s contractually required to shoot higher and wider of the goal as possible at least once per match.
Hola y’all!!
I am back in black, tell everyone I’m glad to be back.
Took some time off to to general life stuffs, which included recording about 5 new tracks to release point. Very excited about that!
It did amuse me that my hiatus did in fact co-incide with our upturn in form which was as much a surprise as deliberate intention.
How good have we been travelling? We could go something like 14 unbeaten with the fixtures coming up he says knowing he may need to disappear until then lol
Hope everyone has been well, condolences to you about your dad @PhilippineSaint hope a celebration of his innings happened, not just commiserations.
Down Oz land, we are going through our turn of pretty shitty lockdowns but Praise be to Nero’s Neptune, our worse has been but a speck in the eye of those who had it real tough.
Rock n roll everyone, remember life is beautiful and love always wins!!
Thank you for that @OzSaintDave the celebration will be the 25th so I will miss the Norwich game.
But would not remember if I did attend.
It’s a surreal experience, moments like these in life. Won’t say it is much fun but if you can do the celebration mindset instead of grief, it makes it a whole lot more bearable
