Ok, reassuring and worrying in equal measure from Hughes here.
Says that we played a specific formation and he wanted the players to show him that they could make it work and impose themselves on the opposition.
They couldnât. But said if it was a competitive game then he would have changed it.
(Thatâs the bit that reassures me)
The worrying bit is that it looks like he still doesnât know the players (or formation) that works best for us.
Sounds like heâs going to pick the team this coming week.
âYou give people opportunities and they have got to grasp it and make the best use of the game time they have been given.
âTo be fair I have given almost everybody a good crack at it and almost everybody has had decent minutes on the field.
âThey need to show me this week that they are ready to go.â
