Brazillian manager, won the Copa America with them as well as a few other things. I think he’s managed them a few times and most recently took over after the 2014 World Cup, I believe, but was sacked this year.

So for me the new manager has a hard job we have good players but this year we have the europa league so six extra games i guess the league cup will be a chance for the kids to play although we go in at quite a late stage with our euro qualification.

if im honest pellegrinin if he wants the challenge would be great but otherwise let it me a manager who can settle the quad on his reputatioon and bring in excitinefg new player we really need a statement signing to let the rest of the players know we mean business pellegrini ineacho and redmond the dream summer

I’d be surprised if we can bring someone in who will improve on where we are in our third summer of change, and their first season.

This will frighten those people who think we are Man Utd or Liverpool, but for me it’s time for consolidation in the top 8-10, make sure the structure of the club still works, and to make sure that the academy is firing on all cyclinders.

I’d like someone who can not just build a team but also make the club stronger, a year from now.

Your right new manager or even the old manager would not get us 6th again next year unless a couple of the big clubs really mess up again. 7th or 8th would be great but 9th or 10th not the end of the world.

8th - 10th - a trophy!

Yep taking a cup seriously for the 1st time since the jpt would be nice. I’d take 14th and a cup

I could’ve appointed 6 or 7 managers in this time. Fkn wake up Saints! You could see Bert Rand was worried about it last night; if we don’t win EURO2016 cos of Les Reed Faffing About I will be v.angar srs.

I had a Strange passing moment today that it may be Paul Clement ex Derby, but he must have been scared off and immediately signed as assistant manager for Bayern Munich

In my Football Manager game I have been Saints Manager for 10 years and won the league ten times, and the Champions League like 6 times and the FA cup like 8 times and the League cup like 10 times, but I can’t get the England job cos Paul Clement keeps winning World Cup, and they won’t fkn sack him.

Fkn MLG.

Why am I to blame for the success of a fictional version of Paul Clement?

Right oh, I see. You’re happy to take all the credit when Juanmi scored 35 goals in his first Saints Season, but when I pull you up on the unrealistic managerial ability of Paul Clement, you get all slopey shouldered on me. Not my fault mate, talk to Miles Jacobson. Well I will, mate. I’m gonna send him a strongly worded email, and I won’t hesitate to cite you personally, and ur poor customer service, amongst my list of grieviances.

You have been warned. We Want Clement Out.

Edit: I won’t do any of them things really, I’m only playing. Any idea how I can get Paul Clement sacked tho? Is there any way I can plant tabloid stories of him + underage hookers, or something like that?

Haha, now I get it. Hilarious.

My source is obviously keeping a close eye on Sotonians then. :lou_wink_2:

I text them last night to ask if they had anything fresh for me. Did not get a reply.

Still nothing when I got up today. Whilst feeling like a jilted lover, I resisted the urge to send another text, but by lunchtime, my willpower broke, and I fired off another question.

Just got a text back in the last hour that simply said:

ā€œSorry for the silence. Can’t say anything else just yet, but Noel Edmonds is a good shout. Will call you later.ā€

I wondered what the fuck they were on about. Now all is clear.

I dont get the ā€˜settle for 14th’ if we won a cup stuff as it would be indicative of a regression… (see Portsmouth) it is possible to win cups when improving and developing… Silverwear will come when we are strong enough as a squad and are playing our best football… if we chose a strategy of gradual organic progress. Throwing that away for a cup seems more about showing off to rivals, than it does about anything else?

I think it’s fair to say that this is probably what is causing the hold up in making a decision. The Board have clearly seen your phenomenal record of success and taken a keen note of your managerial prowess Bearsy. Probably decided that even though someone of Pellegrini’s stature has declared their interest – that anyone that can conjure 35 Premier League goals out of Juanmi deserves some serious consideration. :lou_wink_2:
