Cheers for your efforts Jack.
wtf is a rudy garcia?
Sorry guys, looks like I screwed up, and not sure if/when Iâm going to get any more info.
Friend isnât too happy with me.
Just been told that apparently there was a Telegraph article about an hour before I posted that mentioned some of what I shared, in particular in confirming Rudi, and inferring being down to a final three.
I was given all this last night at 10:45pm, and it was meant to be a âscoopâ for me/my friend, that would later be confirmed/backed up by some of the details that would then emerge today in this piece that my contact knew was due to be coming out. I was supposed to post mine first, to gain in info-credibility, not after and be open to insinuations I just got information from there.
Fuck sake. I could have posted it last night, but decided to sleep on it. Could have posted it at 6:30 this morning when I got up, but was still unsure about looking a twat if it turned out to not happen. Thought it over at work and decided to post at lunch. Too late. Some of it is already out, and defeated the object of me being given the info last night. Should have just trusted my instincts [and my friend] from the start.
From our very brief conversation tonight, I get the impression there is a âfriendly ITK warâ going on at SMS.
My friend wanted their info out first before the media released it, but I have let them down. Sorry my friends.
If it is any consolation, I feel like a complete cunt.
The only thing I heard about De Boer was in our original talk, and he was said to be on our list, but not in the top few due to not having yet had the opportunity to prove his methods at more than one club. I wasnât given any indication that he has since moved up into that top three, but maybe that has changed since the first info I got last week.

What do they say? Do you promise not to say one thing on Sky Sports and then leave a few weeks later! In the end we are at the mercy of market forces
Sorry mate, I forgot your reply.
It was inferring that there is a recruitment system in place, which is constantly updated and ready to roll at a moments notice. As soon as it is triggered by something [like RK going back on his word for example] â the process kicks in. In other words, even when we were expecting RK to sign a new deal, we already knew our favoured candidates to replace him, and could get straight on with working towards that end.
So there was no panic, no âoh shit, now we need a new manager!â, as we already knew exactly who we wanted to speak with, no need to start suddenly scouring for candidates, as all had been meticulously researched. All that was needed was to pick up the phone.
Very glad to have found out about this site, refreshing not to see constant back and forth bitching in the comments, I think I will enjoy my time here
First time poster here am very impressed by what Iâve seen so far - you lot seem an interesting mix and can manage a debate without it turning into bitching, which is unusual and refreshingâŚIâll probably enjoy visiting.
Oh, and seeing as this thread is about our next manager, Iâm hoping for Garcia as he seems to be just the type of character weâre looking for - great pedigree, gets results and should help the academy lads come through also. Iâve got a few quid on him at 4/1 so selfishly I hope he gets the job
Ok thanks for comment and keep it coming Jack. Good to get the snippets
The hard life of the Journalist. The long hours, the liquid lunches, those funny hats with a press card tucked in the band. All that effort, and you miss your deadline, and the Telegraph beats you to the Exclusive Scoop.
Donât be too hard on yourself, Jack. No-one reads the Telegraph anyway.
Great to see you on here Dohamike hope all is well over in WC land!
And again thanks for the (belated) updates Jack, now if you donât mind, having solved Koemangate for us fans, can you get your ass back to work and sort out Syria?
Cheers
Donât worry Jack, I hadnât read the Telegraph article either.
Reading you post out to my wife yesterday afternoon however she did say, âsounds like a press releaseâŚthat could have come from The Telegraph for all we knowâ
I told her to stop being so cynical.
Keep it coming, we the less cynical enjoy being kept one step ahead.
Claude Puel is the mystery man according to K Billy
Not someone that automatically gets the spine tingling to be honest but the black box hasnât done much wrong.
apart from this
Not seen the Political threads yet then
Thanks for the info Jack. I love the idea that your âDeep Throatâ and other ITKers are competing with each other to get inside info out!
if I were being cynical and posting on SWF, Iâd be saying that the club are keen to leak information to people like jack and k billy so that we are forearmed with information about managers most normally wouldnât have heard of. Posters research into these managers, say theyâre a great fit , play lovely football, use youth and when the appointment is made weâre all happy. Iâm not saying thatâs whatâs happening (but that is whatâs happening).
Welcome Emoticon! Any bitchiness can be negated by buying a round at matchday meet-ups
Garcia would be an excellent appointment. FdB would be decent enough and after that itâs âmehâ.
Loving TSW at the moment, especially the contributions from CBF. He is currently getting his panties in a bunch over the concept of âmystery menâ whilst also trying to convince peope that the next manager will be Deschamps! As he would say âcomedy gold.â
Claud Puel managerial profile, doesnât exactly set the world alight.
Played for Monaco all his career and went on the manage their youth and main teams.
Heâs taking the piss and doing it beautifully.
