Where’s his interview? Has he gone missing? The media team are usually all over new people
I believe he’ll be popping round to your house later today for a proper one-to-one.
What time? I’m at work at the moment.
Well you should get yourself home then. If Mauricio is willing to make the effort then it’s only fair that you should too.
Yeah I was starting to wonder where the interview was. We haven’t even had a ‘contract signing/handshake with Les’ photo.
I think he’s officially starting work on Thurs isn’t he? Didn’t he need to go home to Argentina or something?
Think we just announced early to make sure we got in there before Palace could twist their unveiling of De Boer to ‘Ha ha we got De Boer so now Saints will have to settle for Pellegrino’, when it was Pellegrino we wanted.
He’s left a message on my Voicemail saying he will be at mine at 3.00pm. The silly tit. He should know I’m at work.
Not a good start. I have to admit I was hoping for better.
Did he mention “interesting possibilities?”
Well I’m back from, me and me mate’s Annexing of The Sudetenland to find we have a new manager…some funny Eyetie sounding name. Did a little research on him and meh wasn’t that impressed until I read this…“his English is very good”
That is good enough for me…a manager’s briefing that I can understand…for Bazza’s sake I hope he has a good line in excuses.
Better than the previous quotes about Puel where it was clear players didnt quite understand what he was on about half the time
I’d love if a player, not even a Saints player, just came out and said this new guy is utterly effing clueless. Just once. It’d be pretty entertaining.
Not really sure what else anyone expects them to say, apart from what FF has done here.
I’m more interested in @saintbletch 's thoughts on the sequence of events that lead up to that picture!
Come on B3, his birthday was yesterday. You really don’t have to pretend you’re interested in anything he has to say now.
I agree! It would be easier for them to lose the dressing room when they start and they are still finding their way around. No one has an excuse not to know where the dressing room is after being at the club for a year.
Ooh Ohh! Bloody hell.
I go off to read about golf on the Beeb web site and kaboom - find this We’ve got a mental coach!

Jon Rahm’s name is a hot one in the game right now.
The Spaniard, 22, has enjoyed a remarkable improvement in his ranking over the last couple of years, coming from outside the world’s top 1,000 to now sit seventh.
His Spanish roots have seen him compared to the late Seve Ballesteros but this week Rahm said: “If I do a quarter of what Seve did, I’d probably be satisfied.”
He is also working with a former bomb disposal expert Joseba del Carmen, who is now his mental coach. Del Carmen is expected to work at Southampton Football Club this season as he has previously done work for the club’s new manager Mauricio Pellegrino.
Bomb disposal expert. Excellent.
Well hopefully he will stop our lot self destructing
