🇷🇺 Russia

That is how Putin thought it would go here, it didn’t and it won’t and 1000’s will die because of one mans vanity, Ukraine wasn’t even anywhere near joining NATO and NATO posed no threat but Putin knew that, he is not too arsed about NATO, he wants Soviet lands back,

Iraq invasion of Kuwait?

Early 90s, resolved then.

That justified the 2003 war, did it?

I suspect there will be a lot of vacancies in the russian owned superyacht market by the end of the week

Of course it doesn’t I’m anti invasion, you’re selective pro invasion, huge difference in our views.

The official Ukrainian national guard twitter account

Yes the rouble has dropped of a cliff to say the least, and to think people genuinely Russia was powerful against the west, they’re dangerous but not powerful, Europe alone could hammer their economy and also militarily, its about containing that danger and trying to get more moderates in.

A lot of strange things being encouraged at the moment

Has this been verified? If so that is terrible, without verification though its nothing more than a video, is this for the Chechens joining the invasion?

Why should the west take NATO off the table? Its up to Ukraine to decide to whether they want to join and they weren’t anywhere near, NATO hasn’t invaded Russia, a huge ruse as Putin wants Ukraine’s lands as he doesn’t deem it a nation.

Because in they were in NATO, we’d be obliged to be at war right now.

If Ukraine was in NATO Putin wouldn’t be there, he respects the borders of NATO as he knows he’d be handed his arse, NATO would pulverise Russia in a week, note respect doesn’t equate to like, he detests NATO and the west.
NATO is a red herring anyway, Putin wants land as he doesn’t recognise Ukraine as a country, Hitler did that with nations as well you know.

Well, we may see that theory tested.

The Eastern expansion of NATO means that we’ve got around thirteen Polands to worry about.

That was pre invasion - I wonder what the figures would look like is a couple of weeks when the body bags start returning and their economy is in the shitter

Democracy, its great isn’t it? The thing is I’d have been up demilitarisation along Russias western flank years ago similar to Koreas but they can’t be trusted, this and Georgia proves that, also you’d have thought they’d be looking at China at the border disputes brewing with them and not worrying about a defensive organisation.
China and the north pose a far larger threat but Putin is an obsessive over his hatred of NATO and the west.
Also China has effectively moved into the far east of Russia and they’re doing nothing.

This is Putin meeting his economic team today - to say the seating configuration is odd is a bit of an understatement

He has lost the plot

Ukraine have formally applied for EU membership

Weren’t they looking to get admitted immediately, as in today?

I think he has asked if the EU would waive a lot of the usual bollocks they insist on and get a wiggle on
