Discourse will tell you that the thread is unread (as long as you are tracking it) if someone posts something (Goat’s post about Danso?) Or if a post is edited.
And what do you mean by it doesn’t register you as replying. I can see two replies from you. Immediately above this reply from me.
Yes and it never showed I had written them and is still now showing as unread this is on an I pad on my phone android its fine

Try refreshing the page on the iPad.
Either close the page and then go back in or refresh (pull down on iPad?).
Done that will let you know what happens if it comes up as unread if nobody else replys.
