Petitions

I would like to see a reworking of Battleships. Celebrities on pedalos have to hide in an olympic sized swimming pool whilst members of the studio audience have to build and fire improvised mortars built from a supermarket sweep style collection of items from Plumbase and Haskins.

Petition against the government trying to curb Freedom of Information laws.

Reform the rules on filibustering, the Parliamentary practice being used to ensure that laws are not effectively debated.

Perhaps not the worthiest cause, but an interesting one.

Internet pirate cuts a deal. If his vid gets 200K views, he avoids paying a huge fine. He has 145K so far.

Arf, he’s already got off, according to the rules. 232K views now :lou_lol:

Think they may raise the threshold or not offer that kind of deal again.

Another govt attack on students and the NHS. The scrapping of bursaries for Nurses.

Considering trainee nurses are on average older than students, it’s a pretty obvious move against them. In turn, putting more pressure on an NHS crying out for more nurses.

It’s almost like they want people dissatisfied with a public health system .

Signed. Already got the 100K for a debate. Nice.

Petition against bombing Syria. It didn’t work in Afghanistan. Iraq or Pakistan so i’m not sure why we’re even considering it now.

The government ones actually get debated in Parliament if they pass 100K signatures, @barry-sanchez .

Besides, I find this attitude difficult to reconcile with your frequent whinging on various frequently raised subjects (e.g. JWP, Puel, da Muslims).

That’s was this site is for, maybe I could start a petition for Puel’s removal?

Do the government one. If you could get 100K signatures, it’ll be interesting to hear them debating whether the Cup Final appearance excuses the poor league form. They might even get a backbench amendment in to blame it all on Les Reed.

I know about the 100k figure, I also know they give it (the petitions) scant regard.

In many senses, the least worthy cause I’ve ever put up here in terms of number of people it will affect.

However, Juvenile Unit #1 is up for an award. If you’d like to vote for her, you can do so here. Charlotte Taylor is her name.

New Forest mush. Shortly after losing his last parent, getting turfed from council place by New Forest District Council.

Happening quite a lot.
