The Southampton star was slapped with a £1,000 fine after being pulled over three miles from his home ground.
Redmond, an attacking midfielder, escaped with six points on his licence after the offence on the A33 in the Redbridge area of Southampton.
He had made his England debut just eight days earlier when he came on as a second half substitute in a 1-0 defeat away to Germany.

WHERE DO THEY PLAY?
The WWK Arena has been FC Augsburg’s home since July 2009, when it replaced their former stadium Rosenaustadion.
As well as hosting Bundelisga fixtures, the 30,660 capacity stadium also played host to the 2010 FIFA under-20 Women’s World Cup and the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
HOW DID THEY DO LAST SEASON?
FC Augsburg finished 13th in Bundesliga last season after they masterminded a four-game unbeaten streak from their last four fixtures to pull away from relegation danger.
WHO IS THEIR MANAGER?
Manager Manuel Baum took over from Dirk Schuster in December 2016, going on to keep the side in the Bundesliga.
Formerly the club’s youth coach, Baum was initially put in interim charge where he claimed a win and a draw from his two games.
A former teacher, the 37-year-old was appointed the academy head coach in 2014 and his plans to just take a three-year break from the classroom have been firmly shelved.
After Julian Nagelsmann’s success with Hoffenheim at the age of just 29, managers like Baum will be hoping to follow suit in a league where the manager’s average age is a mere 42.
WHO ARE THE PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR?
Halil Altintop was last season’s top goalsorer with six, but he has now departed for Slavia Prague.
The Bavarian club have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Michael Gregoritsch from Hamburg and Venezuela under-20 international Sergio Cordova, who scored four goals at the under-20 World Cup for the finalists.
Midfielder Rani Khedira, the younger brother of World Cup winner Sami, has also signed from RB Leipzig on a free transfer as Manuel Baum’s men look to establish themselves in the top-flight.
DID YOU KNOW?
FC Augsburg finished fifth in the 2014/15 Bundesliga, which was their best ever finish. That earned them a placed in the UEFA Europa League where they reached the knockout stages before going out to Liverpool.

Matt Le Tissier believes Southampton could continue to play hardball with in-demand defender Virgil van Dijk and ensure he STAYS at the club this summer.
Van Dijk has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool during the transfer window.
The 25-year-old centre-back is said to be one of Jurgen Klopp’s top summer targets, and the player has indicated that he is keen to join the Reds and is reportedly training on his own in an attempt to force a move to Anfield.

However, the Netherlands international still has five years remaining of the six-year deal he penned with the Saints in May 2016.
Club legend Le Tissier has criticised the defender’s antics as ‘unprofessional’ and ‘distasteful’, and believes Southampton could make a statement that clubs are beginning to take the power back from the players by insisting Van Dijk stays at St Mary’s.
Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Le Tissier said: “It’s been going on long enough, and he’s still here!
“He still wants to be on his own…and to be honest, that’s pretty unprofessional.
“He’s got four and a half weeks [until the end of the transfer window], but the club have been pretty insistent so far that he signed a five year contract and he’s going nowhere.
If players have all the power, he would have gone by now – but it’s all rumbled on for a few weeks now and he hasn’t got his own way.
Perhaps the tide might be turning a little bit. The fact a lot of clubs now are in a much healthier financial position means the power might just be shifting back to clubs if they want to dig their heels in.
They’ve got the money, they’re not desperate to bag the £60million it would take to get him away from the club, and if Southampton feel like they want to make a stand with Van Dijk, they can.
“It’s a shame. It doesn’t look very good on the player, he’s got five years left and the only way he can be sold is if the club accept an offer for him – that hasn’t happened, so you have to get on with your job.
“I find it pretty distasteful when players start players start refusing to play for clubs when they’re paid very good money to be there.”

Virgil van Dijk reiterates desire to join Liverpool

Virgil van Dijk will continue to train alone at Southampton after telling the club he wants to leave.
The Netherlands defender has been linked with a move to Liverpool and had showdown talks earlier this week, with Saints hoping that he would accept that he is stay at St Mary’s and rejoin first-team training with Mauricio Pellegrino’s side, report the Liverpool Echo .
Saints did not include him in their pre-season training camp in France.
However, the 26-year-old is believed to have told the club he has not changed his mind and still wants to join Liverpool, meaning Pellegrino has a huge decision to make ahead of the start of the Premier League season next week.
Van Dijk is short of match fitness having trained alone throughout the summer but Southampton have previously been determined not to sell to Liverpool, to whom they have lost a number of players in recent years.
Earlier this summer Southampton reported the Reds to the Premier League for allegedly tapping up van Dijk, forcing Liverpool to apologise and publicly withdraw from the race to sign the defender.
Jurgen Klopp has retained an interest in the commanding centre-back, but the Reds will only return to the table should Southampton inform them that they are open to bids.
If that is the case, Liverpool are prepared to shatter their transfer record in order to obtain van Dijk.

Liverpool transfer BLOW! Fiorentina win race for Borussia Dortmund starlet Emre Mor - reports

Fiorentina have won the race for Liverpool and Southampton target Emre Mor, according to reports in Italy.
The winger has been on the hunt for a new club this summer after failing to establish himself at Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool and Southampton have both shown an interest in the Turkey international and they were happy to sign him on loan or permanently.
Fiorentina though, according to Sportitalia, have now beaten the Premier League pair to the signing of Mor.
The 20-year-old has reportedly agreed to join the Italian club ahead of a deal which could eventually be worth £13.5million.
Mor is set to sign a contract worth just under £1m-a-year and he could be officially unveiled by Fiorentina on Friday.
