Nelson Oliveira gave the Canaries a lead early in the second-half after he finished off Mario Vrancic’s through ball.
And Reed produced a moment of brilliance to settle the contest when he found space around 25 yards from goal, before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the top corner past Alex Smithies.
Reed has now started in all four games for Daniel Farke’s men, who moved up to 10th in the table.
Manuel Lanzini will again be missing for West Ham when they go to Southampton on Saturday.
Slaven Bilic had hoped that Lanzini would recover from a leg injury in time to be involved but the playmaker is not now expected to return to full training until next week.
Bilic will, however, be boosted by the return of Michail Antonio to his squad. The England international missed last weekend’s 4-0 defeat at Manchester United as he recovers from a hamstring injury but has since played for the Under-23 team.
Andy Carroll is also back in full training, as is midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, who has a chance of making the substitutes’ bench.
Meanwhile, West Ham remain hopeful of adding Portuguese holding midfielder William Carvalho to their squad before the transfer window closes but are not prepared to match Sporting Lisbon’s asking price of £40million.
Speaking on Sky Sports, West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady said chairman David Sullivan was working “20 hours a day” on possible deals while another club source revealed today the Carvalho deal “had always been 50-50” but they were “battling on” in an effort to sign the player.
VIRGIL van Dijk has been left out of the latest Netherlands squad as a result of his self-inflicted exile at Saints.
The 26-year-old had been banished to train alone by St Mary’s chief Mauricio Pellegrino, having asked to leave the club before handing in an official transfer request, with the hope of forcing an exit through.
The centre-back missed the whole of pre-season as well as the beginning of the Premier League season and has not played in a match since January.
Saints have always maintained that he’s not for sale, with Liverpool and Chelsea holding an interest.
And because of this ongoing saga, Van Dijk has now been overlooked by Netherlands coach Dick Advocaat for World Cup qualifiers against France and Bulgaria at the end of this month.
In a Dutch football association statement, the Oranje boss said: "He is currently not training at Southampton. It does not make sense to invite him.’’
This latest news comes after Saints chairman reiterated that Van Dijk was not for sale, despite his wishes to leave.
Krueger said: “Virgil is not the only player that is involved in this he is part of the whole strategy of not selling. Nobody is for sale that we don’t want to sell and so he is not for sale in this window. We have said it more than once.”
HARRISON Reed looks to be settling in very well on loan at Norwich City after scoring an absolute belter in a 2-0 win over QPR at Carrow Road.
It was the defensive midfielder’s first ever senior goal and boy was it special, as the 22-year-old hit a 25-yard thunderbolt to wrap up the victory and seal the man of the match award.
The goal came on his fourth appearance for the Championship side, for whom it seems he’s making quite an impression already.
“It was his first goal in the senior squad,” said Norwich boss Daniel Farke. "I’ve never seen him score in training but it was a really brilliant goal.
"He has self-confidence and he always tries to shoot in training but it’s normally like a goal-kick!
“He had such a good performance today and deserved to score such a brilliant goal. It was very important for us.”
It’s the Worthing-born man’s first ever move away from St Mary’s, having been at the club his entire career.
He’s made 30 appearances for Saints since breaking in to the first team in 2013/14, when he made his debut in a League Cup win at Barnsley in August 2013.
Reed has played 17 Premier League games overall and is highly thought of at the club - although not seen as ready for a regular place in the team.
It was viewed as important to allow him regular senior football this season and with it unlikely to come at St Mary’s, the move to Norwich was struck.
