Fans queueing for a match at the Dell in 1947.

Interesting to see @lifeintheslowlane right at the front of the queue with Mrs Slowlane and Junior

I like the advertising board for cigarettes made from ‘honest to goodness’ tobacco … Rip the good old days when everyone was blissfully unaware of the health risks and smoking was considered cool :lou_facepalm_2:

They certainly used to cram them in, back in 1913

If it were mid-'50s I could have been there but we would have been under the West Stand, next to the players entrance onto the pitch, savouring the whaft of Sloane’s Athletic Linament as our heroes swept onto the hallowed Dell turf/mud patch.

Contrary to popular belief in 1947 I was just a lustful look in my dad’s eyes. :lou_lol:

Not “Old Photos”

But some cracking images here from Cassini of Saturn brfore she burns up and crashes next month

Just one of the selection

19 July 2013 In this rare image, Cassini has captured Saturn’s rings and Earth in the same frame. Earth is 898 million miles (1.44 billion kilometers) away in this image and appears as a blue dot; the moon can be seen as a fainter protrusion off its right side. This was only the third time ever that Earth has been imaged from the outer solar system. It was the first time that people on Earth knew in advance that their planet was being imaged, allowing people around the world to join together in social events to celebrate the occasion
