I’d like Messi and Ronaldo, how the fuck should I know who to buy? Thats not my job but even Ray fucking Charles can see the ones we have aren’t cutting it, not rocket science is it?
We need a centre back, a creative midefielder and a striker, a winger and a goalkeeper wouldn’t go amiss.

Realistically, how long do we think the club will stand by the manager?
There is a very real possibility that we will lose our next two games and be in the bottom three by the end of the year.
Will they give him a January window to bring about some change? Or is that somewhat irrelevant given that the club largely recruits players rather than the manager?
Our recruitment policy for many years has been to appoint unemployed managers, so who is available mid-season to actually appoint?
Do they intend to replace Eric Black? Was a bad back genuinely the reason he left?
I don’t know where I stand on this at present but one thing is for sure, we are not witnessing anything like tangible improvement.

Only because he got the sack…the footie manager seems to be the only role where you can progress after being a failure. If we appoint him the we’d be taking on someone who fails at championship level and gets promoted to Premier league level - nice work if you can get it (ok, I know he’s been there before).

blimey Baz how far back in history do you want to go? Don’t think we ever really replaced Frankie Bennett either but I don’t think that has any bearing on where we are now. Also pretty sure Mane and Tadic were Lallana’s replacement/s. McCarthy was Stekelenberg’s replacement as no.2 keeper I think? I agree with you on Pelle, I miss that beautiful man but i’m assuming Austin was brought in with the knowlege that Pelle would be off that summer.
I look forward to your ‘but they’re cheap/not like for like options’ response 
, and my response would be if we were to buy in a ready made like for like player, in today’s market (lets say Mane for example), we would have to go out and splash £35-40m on a player, and then pay upwards of £120-140k/week to keep hold of them, and if we could afford that we wouldn’t be selling our players in the first place (at least that’s my understanding of it, I wouldn’t be so bold as to state it as fact).

I guess in that sense they might just fit in better at different clubs, hence people willing to keep taking them on. I’m good at my job but a couple of places I’ve worked i’ve struggled because of the way the place is run or the resources available to me, then I’ve changed jobs and progressed really well. Guess the only difference is that when I fuck up it’s not all over the back pages, shame as I’m very photogenic. And modest.

So it is not your job to providesensible proposals and alternatives but it is your job to sit on the sidelines and throw abuse and unbridled criticism? Nice work if you can get it. Let’s face it Barry, you get off on drama and over reaction.
Barry does have a point about the videos. They should film the players with their heads in their hands, sobbing their hearts out. Perhaps, after a heavy defeat perhaps a couple of them could be shown slitting their wrists? Sod all this building team spirit and morale malarkey. The least they can do is be as miserable as the rest of us!
