Fucking weather - Blizzards today.
Done a couple of trips out - no sign of any Turkeys, have a pack of Turkey Breast for emergency, lots of 1kg sized chickens everywhere but they are as much use as a packet of antibiotics tbh.
Snow wonāt last, itās too warm, Mrs P_F made mince pies, I had a brain wave and finally found her something to unwrap (it is REALLY tough - no hints at all what she wants for Xmas and then itās her Birthday on 27th! Nightmare. Anyway I got her a Dishwasher cleaner pack - hopefully it will save her having to watch You-Tubes to work out how to fix it in the futureā¦

Nothing. Except shit loads of orange labels. Some lovely Lamb chops cheaper than burgers, ribs for Ā£2.50 a kilo.
But no fvcking Turkeys. No meat joints at all apart from Pork Neck - Karkowa used for Kotlet.
So.
Monday is invention test.
What could possibly go wrong

Less optimism more advanced depression, knowing how this place works
So Lidl had 6 Turkeys delivered at 6am on Thursday and 4 delivered yesterday. Mrs P_F was too busy to watch the App for such things - she shouts at me to use my phone to do that yet she knows mine is locked to the UAE as we cannot change it and I cannot download Lidlsā App.
So I have no Turkey for the 1st time in 65 years thanks to a temper tantrum
I found a 1kg chunk of Fillet so maybe it will cook OK. Iād have liked a bit of Roast Rib of Beef but that is rarer than a Turkey

Young Adult #1 hates my BIR curry concoctions but has just rifled her way through my spice collection to get what she needs for making mulled wineā¦.(cinnamon, cardamom, star anise and cloves)
