If that happens I’ll post a link to his actual profile. Got to stick up for Goat here, the blokes an arse.

When Goat said he’s an anti-semitic, thick, peurile, sexual predator, I was surprised to discover that he’s anti-semitic, thick and peurile.

Not sure why you don’t agree. As you say yourself, when the tax payer is covering the costs, it should be going back into the system. Not to people that already have more than enough.

I have no issue with private renting as a choice. Have done it myself many times. The problem now is that there is no availability anymore for those that desperately need help from their local authorities.

Where i live there is about a 10-15 year waiting list for a council house and to rent privately cost about double for a house in the same Street. Also private rents are now more expensive than a new mortgage would cost, so people are unable to save a deposit, whilst knowing that if they could just get a mortgage the monthly payments are affordable as they prove it every month.

The market is fixed to suit too few people.

Yes agree then, sorry was not reading it correctly. There is an argument that if you own a property you should live in it. I cannot see how this will help but only lengthen the council waiting lists.

Private landlords should only be able to let to people that are not on benefit. As benefits will be going into the pockets of private landlords to pay off their mortgage. All benefits should be going back into council coffers.

Like that idea, but i would take it one step further and allow tenants on benefits, as long as the rent was at the equivalent level of a council house or flat in the same area. I would also ban btl mortgages.

It will take years to change the housing problems even with the best will in the world, so for practicalities sake we have to use the private sector whilst slowly shrinking it.

This would also hopefully allay some of the fears for the decent private landlords( there are a few) as we should see a slow decline in prices rather than a single massive drop that a lot of proposals would cause(personally i’d love a 25-40% single hit but accept this scares the shit out of a lot of people).

My belief is that property should be viewed as a home first, not purely an investment and certainly not a portfolio.

Eh? He’s a massive cunt, all of the time

Disagree. Thought he over-reached on the Farage people’s army bollocks, especially as he had talked about his coterie of EU workers before.

Most are capable of occasional magnificence. For some reason, people on TSW have been shit-scared of our smearing co-traveller. Lord D isn’t.

Nip onto TSW yourself and have a go at him if you think Lord D’s response can be handled in a less “massive cunt” manner. You are more than capable.

Awkward.

Can somebody please sum up for me whether Verbal likes Corbyn or not? I can’t tell. Ta.

Good article. Wish they had gone back further to show how important council housing really is.

Shocking how the government spokesman said they invest 8 billion in affordable housing. That’s bollocks. Lots of tax breaks to build a few cheaper houses for every hundred they build, which just end up in btl landlords hands.

Then the landlords spokesman talking like they are only doing their civic duty supplying a need the government has failed in. No mention of their aggressive lobbying and backhand deals to skewer the market in their favour.

Always amazed at the bullshit they’re prepared to spew for nothing else but their insatiable greed.

Cunts.

I’d love to say that he was on the fence until Goatboy prodded him into the anti-Corbyn camp with a couple of fingers.

He’s been virulently against him from the start.

Oh good Mr Owen Smith is on his way to Carlisle! But the good news is that the labour leader is coming as well. I wait for further updates.
