There is a distinct whiff of “last man, last bullet” here
I don’t know the technical in+outs of how they’ll kill him tbh, but I have my ear to the streets, and can easily tell he’s done. Sry to be bearer of bad news pal. Don’t shoot messenger
‘Credible’ in this instance is someone who can lead the party to an election win. Corbyn therefore is not credible in many eyes.
The only reason they’ve had to wait so long is because Corbyn kept winning elections.
The trigger is pathetic too. If Cameron had managed to convince the same percentage of Tory voters to remain, that side would have won.
The party has doubled in size, which means that people from outside the party have been attracted to Labour ideas. Twitter is full of people today indicating that they’re joining to support him.
Unelectable
Wow, Twitter is full of people supporting him. He must be credible then.
FFS Pap, loads of people on Twitter support the Greens as well. Doesn’t mean they’re going to win an election.
We had this problem at the last election as well Pap, your Twitter finger in the air which projected a Labour majority was well off. It’s only because the U35’s (who turned out in their droves last week didn’t they #facepalm) are the ones that tend to support Corbyn, and are also on Twitter. It means nothing in a country of 60m.
Cherry pick Twitter, that works.
By elections, mayoral contests, increased vote share in many places even during the locals.
These things matter not.
Robert Peston:-
I am not sure Jeremy Corbyn is going anywhere. I am told 13,000 people joined Labour last week, with 60% giving the reason they are “supporting Corbyn”.
Apparently many are signing up directly via the button on Momentum’s website.
MPs opposing Corbyn, and supposedly “saving Labour”, look chronically disorganized in comparison.
They also look parochial. The phrase “saving Labour” may be self-regarding and unambitious at a time when it is the identity and future of the country which is seen by many to be at stake.
The Canary reckon the whole thing is unravelling, and could be the chance we need to make this Corbyn’s Labour for real.
Arf.
They want to keep the name after the divorce.
It’s because they know they’ve got a cat in hell’s chance of getting their right wing candidates into Labour safe seats if they have a different name.
Cheeky fucks. 172 people.
Hmm, they could split from Labour and side with the Liberals and, maybe, call themselves the Liberal and Social Democrats!!??!!
Reckon it wouldn’t matter much - they would be the effective opposition and that will legitimise them and their name
In which case they will struggle to select anyone -the loss of the 40 odd seats in Scotland to SNP and losses to Plaid Cymru (fuck knows how you spell it) in Wales makes a future labour win very difficult indeed. Best tehey can hope for is no majority for the Torries, but getting into bed with the SNP is also unlikely goiven the concessions that would be needed.

More Tories paying £3 a pop to get themselves another few years of Tory rule then I see.
Yes, because entryism was such a huge problem last time
And btw, the reason this coup is happening is because they know Corbyn can win and change the political landscape.
That’s why Dodgy Dave is calling for his resignation.
Has he got enough MPs to even make it on the ticket pap? Srs question i remember it was a problem last time.
Only the zealots believe he can win a GE. The rest want a leader who can.
Split, mearge with the Libs, form a progessive centre left party, become the proper oppositon and leave the Zealots to read Socialist Worker and pretend that they were on the brink.
The zealots believe the enermy is in their own party. Those outside the cult know it’s the tories. The zealots get their man. The tories get the country.
Perhaps then, if the rebels really wanted Corbyn out, they should have done a better fucking job of it.
You’re talking about a PLP which refers to its members as “dogs”. Paradoxically, their strategy is _begging _Corbyn to leave.
Real position of strength there. He hangs on, he wins.
