I’m largely with Peter Hitchens on polls. There to drive public opinion rather than reflect it. I’d be very interested in hearing about the percentage of polls taken that actually get published.

Dunno. I certainly wouldn’t rule out an early one. I think they’d just repeal the existing legislation to make it happen. There are plenty of aspiring PMs who wouldn’t mind calling a general election at the time of their own choosing.
That’s my only prediction - that we’ll see the act repealed before any snap general election.
Is May about to call a snap election? This would be very bad news for the mess that is the Labour Party!

Even for King Jezza that is a tall order.
Genuinely had to look up what Armed Forces Day was. Seems its only been going since 2006.
