:labour: New Old Labour in trouble

Definitely up for sending the TA out there. Part time wankers pretending to be Army. Let’s see how they like it up 'em.

Ok, how about an elite force made up of the TA, EDL and Britain First members. All of them have sworn to either protect or defend or put Britain/England first.

I reckon the Royal Family must all be really fucking good at fighting. About time they gave something back and it would send a real message that we meant business.

And anyone who watches ITV.

Mark Wright, Joey Essex and Spencer Matthews.

Turkish. He can lob kettlebells from a specially designed jockstrap.

This. He can be the flagbearer for a United Nations of Cunts.

Respect, Cherts.

He has played this well. His own view is that it should be a matter of conscience, something McDonnell echoed over the weekend. Diane Abbott wanted to whip Labour MPs; she was confident that Corbyn’s mandate could be used to pressure the recalcitrant rebels into submission. I think that could have got messy, quickly - but it’s not an entirely unreasonable stance, particularly as it put a worst-case scenario out there for members to consider. Everyone horse-trades for something he agrees with anyway.

The really smart part of this political play was the consultation. The take up was impressive. Over a weekend, over 100K people wrote emails to Labour to explain their position on Syria. From the sample they took today, they found 75% against air-strikes. From the data they’ll gather later, they’re going to be able to throw numbers at the hawks, and if they’re smart (or read my emails :lou_lol: ) put the numbers out in the media by constituency. I’ve got no wish to let the mob rule, but if it is a matter of conscience, then the majority constituent view should at least be a consideration. In a supposedly representational democracy, an overriding one.

The Labour Party is officially opposing the airstrikes, but is not imposing a whip.

Some of those rebels could find themselves in very tight spots if they’ve been critical of Corbyn on this issue and are at odds with their constituents. If they still decide to vote with their consciences, Corbyn’s not getting blamed and neither is the Labour Party, but they run the risk of deselection if the voters get miffed afterwards.

A smart few days work.

I think we should be a bit more equal opportunities too:

Katie Hopkins.

There. That’ll do.

Fucking hell. Selfish and fearful. You’re like a genetically designed test-tube Tory. ‘Step away from the Daily Express!’

Fucking hell Goatboy. Let’s not go barbaric on those poor ISIS souls.

Look, say what you want about my attitude, that I’m a fucking test tube Tory, but never, ever, say that I read the Daily Express.

Indeed. This could have been the end for him, very, very early in his tenorship. He has been sensible, and considered (which I admit he tends to be), and has shown a good way forward.

However, it won’t unite a party…yet.

Definitely won’t unite a party…

Loved Burnham’s comment about being thrown to the wolves :lou_lol:
