Seems to me we are all getting a bit confused. It’s not VAR or video replays or whatever we want to call off field adjudication that is the issue, after all most fans were screaming for some this for ages (especially after WC2010)… but in how it’s applied, when it’s applied, and the fact that the current rules make some of its decisions seem ridiculous (the millimetre offside etc)
For offside, I would make it only about feet and you are onside so long as any part of your rear most foot is behind any part of the any foot of the defender -and change the accuracy of the computer to 10cm behind, anything less is offside sort of thing
… and show it on the big screens so tension builds and all can see the outcome…
