The missus has got the 4k panel downstairs, which used to be in my office, but I’m not arsed.

I’m not overburdened with excellent sight at the moment, and even when I was, the distinction gets lost five feet out.

Our 49" Sony is a 4K HDR tv and I can’t tell the difference.

So HD is 1920x1080, that 1,920 pixels across, 1,080 down a 49" screen is 42.6 inches wide, 24.0 inches high

So each pixel is 0.022x0.025",

UHD is 3840x2160, so on the same size screen your pixels are half the size (0.011"x.0.012"), I doubt anyone would see much difference at that size…

Our kitchen and sitdown bit is over 10metres long so HD does, in the front we have UHD but fuck knows why for sport, I think its looks too bright and artificial, tv shows and docs are amazing on the other hand.

If you did you wouldn’t arse about with torrents, fucking torrents, just get IPTV and they have on demand basically you fucking minge.

Anyway you’re best getting a good projector if you have the right environment but fuck it carry on.

I thought we’d seen the denouement of this thread.

@lifeintheslowlane has purchased his Netflix subscription.

Why do we have three unrequited replies from you, darling?

There we go, happy now hun?

Big dick just wanted to flop out his 40 foot family room.

If I get that builder on the cash it’ll be double…

Colour?

Yeah, it probably hasn’t hit the shires yet  it’s like watching real life but on a 9" screen

0.025" ?

That’d make Mrs @Fatso’s eyes water.

my partner insists we watched HD but I honestly really cannot tell much of a difference on our TV (it’s s smart TV but now 8 years old). Now when we go to PC World etc and look at the super smart expensive TVs I can see they are stunning. I see different hues of colour in each eye along with double vision so not sure it’s worth it!

We have about a 2 year old 50" Sony thing.
Great picture sound & casting. When we looked, the UHDTV stuff looked great except for sport
Anyway point of post is last night Netflix was so pixelated it was like a dodgy stream of a Saints game.
Point being, TV is only as good as your ACTUAL Broadband speed!

That’s where I’m lucky…have Virgin Media cable with ultra fast broadband.
Haven’t watched any NetFlix but have my friend’s movie (adapted from his book) lined up for viewing. ā€œShepherds and Butchersā€ starring Steve Coogan and Andrea Riseborough.

The stunning displays you see in the shops is because of HDR not the fact it’s UHD, although that can help too, they also tune the fuck out of their TVs in the shop so that they look good.

Get them home on default settings and it’ll be pretty much rubbish…
