It’s this kind of vehicle we use to collect most of our staff on their arrival back in the country. They’re great over sand dunes and rough terrain, also nothing like hot cup of Bovril on a cold night.

More cleaning including roof and sills. Sound deadening done. Made a start on insulation. Rear bumper replaced.
First fix electrics finished.
Rear view camera installed.
Hammock points installed.
Bed supports installed.
Started over cab cupboard.
First layer of insulation and battens for ceiling installed.
More battening to ceiling and walls.
Lots more insulation everywhere.
Overcab cupboard carpet lined.
Old floor removed.
Lots of cleaning and tidy up!
Respray rear step.
Cracking on with new sub-floor.

Who’s been a busy boy…are you having windows cut?
Be doing those myself. Trying to build myself up to cutting bloody great holes in it! Roof fan, skylight, windows in rear doors, large window behind drivers seat and a window in the sliding door.
Plus big hole for toilet cassette, fridge vent, wc vent and various other smaller holes!
Got to be careful with that grinder!
I dread to think how many hours of van conversion YouTube videos I have watched!

Here’s a tip. Those videos are always funnier if you play Yakkety Yak in your head, and visualise a funny little bloke having his bald pate patted smartly.

Needs must! Trying to find anyone to do work on vans at the moment is a nightmare. Covid has seen a bit of a boom for the industry and prices have shot right up too.
Also it will be good to understand why it catches fire in the future
