Maynority government

We’re doomed!

To paraphrase yourself, fucking pony.

The Tories have had control of all the levers of power since assuming office in 2010. They could have made different decisions, Just keeping Corporation Tax where it was would have paid for shitloads of public services, actually collecting the going rate would make shitloads more.

Instead, the Tories cut tax and cut tax inspectors.

Austerity under the Tories wasn’t belt-tightening. It was another asset transfer from the rich to the poor.

Tell your fables if you must, but don’t be surprised when someone calls Jackanory.

You cannot demand austerity, plead poverty, and then whip out a billion quid as a bung.

Apparently, May’s the second most unpopular person in the Cabinet.

My theory is that’s only because Boris did a shit in a dead pig’s mouth before anyone had a chance to fuck it.

I must stress, I have no evidence whatsoever for this theory, but that seems less important these days. I refer the honourable ladies and gentlemen to Russian hacking, chemical attacks in Syria, etc.

All going well, then.

Theresa May will move to bolster her precarious position in Downing Street with an unprecedented invitation to Labour to help her create policies for a post-Brexit Britain as she attempts to quell a Tory plot to replace her.

I thought she’d already buddied up?

Yeah, to get her programme through.

What she needs from other parties is ideas. So she’s admitting she has none of her own.

Nice of the rank & file to step up and help Mayhem look nicer, in comparison.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/tory-mp-racist-brexit-recording_uk_59638608e4b02e9bdb0e2c77

A Tory Brexiteer has described the UK leaving the EU without a deal as a “real n*****r in the woodpile” at a meeting of eurosceptics in Central London.

Anne Marie Morris, MP for Newton Abbott since 2010, made the astonishing remark while discussing what financial services deal the UK could struck with Brussels after 2019.

Despite using the racist term, none of her fellow panelists, including Tory MPs Bill Cash and John Redwood, reacted.

After saying just 7% of financial services in the UK would be affected by Brexit, Morris said: “Now I’m sure there will be many people who’ll challenge that, but my response and my request is look at the detail, it isn’t all doom and gloom.

“Now we get to the real n****r in the woodpile which is in two years what happens if there is no deal?”

The comments came at the launch of a report into the future for the UK’s lucrative financial sector after Brexit.

Jesus wept

Apparently this racist term was edited out of books in 1959. How old is Anne-Marie Morris!

Very telling that she said it in front of a room full of Tories and none of them batted an eyelid.

It’s PC gone mad.

Not only should she have been able to use the term “Ni66er in the woodpile” with impunity, she should have been able to replace the would Ni66er with the phrase"enslaved, exploitable, disposable and odious black cunt".

She only used the word Ni66er because you’d be ‘offended’ otherwise.

You should be thanking her not castigating her.

You bunch of fucking snowflakes.

A couple of years ago, I got a bee in my bonnet about the word “niggardly”. Phonet ically similar, but the etymology is completely different. Comes from an old Scandinavian word meaning miser.

My workmate, married to a Nigerian woman, conceded that the word had no racial connotations in and of itself, but he still felt that we should pander to people that might not look up the Norse roots of any given palabra.

This woman is fucking insane for saying what she did where she did. Did she not learn her lesson from Clarkson when he caught all that shit for implying the n word? I’'ve got black mates that I wouldn’t dream of using the term in front of, except for one context, recounting stories where I’d heard white people saying it ( and even then, I usually self-censor ).

What fucking planet do they get their MPs from? Ku-piter?

May has had her suspended(not from a rope unfortunately), not because of her choice of word, but because everyone found out.

Also, how many of us would still have our jobs if we’d elected to use that word in a “professional capacity”?

Jesus fucking wept. She’s merely been suspended. That’d be gross misconduct and marched off the premises in the real world, which I understand Theresa May plans on visiting at some point.

How on Earth anyone would come out with something like that is beyond me. Oh well. Bye-bye career lol.

Sadly, it’s not beyond me. I suspect the reason she said it is because she has said it before and gotten away with it, and mixes with people that either use similar terms or are not arsed when they hear them.

Not to make light of the present situation I too fell foul of the word “niggardly” a few years ago.

The car forum I help moderate has an auto-correct on the n----r word or any other that appears a derivation or close approximation. The auto-correct changes the offending word to “attractive and successful african american” :lou_lol:

It might seem a bit over the top but the forum is a US based one so it’s a necessary addition to the forum software.

She has since apologized and said that it was unintentional! Which presumably means that she says things like this regularly in her everyday life, an automatic part of her vocabulary.

During the election campaign at a hustings event in Newton Abbot, a speech was made from the stage by a Roger Kendrick, where he informed the audience that “the crisis in education was due entirely to non British-born immigrants and their high birth rates”. In response, Morris told Devon Live: “I don’t share the views expressed by Roger Kendrick”.

Roger Kendrick is Ms Morris’ agent and husband/partner.

I voted “weeks” in the How Long Has May Got poll.

I’ve honestly never witnessed anything like it.
