Maynority government

The Tories, scrambling for anything they can, have called out Corbyn for not condemning abuse from _his _supporters. It’s a bit of a nonsense, given their election strategy.

This is Diane Abbott, a frequent target of personalised and private attack ads on Facebook, speaking about the sort of abuse she has received.

Fucking hell. I think I’d probably get _my entire life _wrong under similar pressures, let alone a few figures. Shame on those spitting the venom.

Schools to get extra £1.3bn

My worry is that these devious Tory bastards have noticed what was upsetting the public during election time and are going to do just enough to quell any further growth of labour support. I guess that’s what they’re meant to do…but I’d rather they continue to blatantly fuck everything up so they get the boot. This will definitely quieten down a few or more people.

Has anyone done the maths to work out how £1.3bn breaks down per school, and per pupil? Taking into account other drains on resources then I suspect it won’t actually amount to anything worthwhile.

The magic money tree appears just when May needs it.

I’ve been sweeping my classroom for the last 3 weeks because we can’t afford to replace cleaners.

1.3 billion means fuck all in real terms. It’s a nice headline though.

That’s all it is though @thecholulakid a nice headline.

Most of the thick shits that can’t see any further than that will think May and her cabal of evil cunts* are doing a great job.

*apologies for the c-bomb.

And it’s not new money. ‘Efficiency savings’ from within the current budget. Basically she’s nicking it from elsewhere:

That is a disgrace , what have the union said about this?

And the Govt don’t realise we see though the smoke and mirrors?

Actually I. think that enough of us are gullible enough not to…

They told him that it doesn’t take 3 weeks to sweep the floor and he should pull his fucking finger out.

Nothing. I don’t actually mind doing it. Indicative of bigger issues though.

We’ve got 15 members of teaching staff leaving this week. Four of them are non-retirees leaving the profession.

It’s okay, if any of them are replaced we can pretend they are new jobs - it can be dressed up as more teachers employed this year than last…

Since the last post on this topic, Theresa May has held a crisis cabinet meeting to discuss disloyalty. Tonight, the talk is of sacking ministers that do not line up alongside her “vision” for Britain, which primarily seems to be about preserving her own career at all costs.

I wrote in the Medium piece a little while back that everything that May does to consolidate her own power puts her more at risk of losing it. If she sacks ministers as planned, I’ve a sneaking suspicion that they’re all going to be members of the Conservative Parliamentary Party, able to vote against her once shuttled off to the backbenches.

If she doesn’t sack ministers in classic U-Turn style, she’ll erode her authority even further, if such a thing is possible.

Historians are never going to suss out quite exactly how Mrs May turned every win win situation into a lose lose. It’s a kind of politically fatal hubris that’ll never quite compute.

She did explain quite clearly only last month that she hates old folk, and people voted for her.

Pity they didn’t realise that one day they would be those old folk…

I got hit by this

So I have 23 years instead of 22 years to wait until I get my mythical state pension

Here is something that I am certain of. I won’t be waiting 23 years. Successive governments between now and then will decree I will need to work until 70+ and I suspect they will means test it etc etc.

Even if we had a Labour government for the next 30 years this will happen as they try to cope with the magnitude of the pension black hole that has been ignored forever

I thought I could coast through life, doing minimum possible, and government would look after me when I was old srs. Now it seems that the object of life is to make ur fortune as quick as possible, and get out while the going is gd. I am not v.happy bout this. Seems like the stories I was told when I was young were All Lies :lou_angry:

Is it an appropriate time to mention Santa and the tooth fairy?

Don’t rub it in, CB.

Has anyone got an ETA on arrival of Robot Overlords? I think that will save us all, when the Robots are doing all the farming, and cooking, and cleaning, and doctoring, and sex working, we will all be on Easy Street. Until the Uprising.

I had a modest uprising when you mentioned Sexbots…
