:pl::mancityfc: Manchester City v Saints :saints:

Who is at left-back? PEH?

Looks like it.

Gunn is out so I will take that as a small victory.

Lube up - the Hojberg / Romeu / JWP combo is out there again

It’s like a shit version of the Lampard / Gerrard partnership

I’m confident we’ll hold out for the full 90 minutes.

Blimey

Holy feck, a half time lead. That was some defending going on there…

It was, but a little more planning on the out-ball and we’d be able to catch them on the break.

Well well well, we beat Man City at a half of football. I’m stunned, in a good way. I’m putting the swarfega away for now in quiet optimism.

We really need to hold on to the ball better in the second half. Also there’s something wrong with the clock. I’m sure that 45 took about 3 and a half hours.

Closing down was impressive, especially Romeu.
Keep that up in the second half and might just take something from this game.

That was a gutsy first half. I don’t know how many blocks we got in but it was impressive backs to the wall defending. If we can hold out and feed sub Djenepo with an out ball we could be on for a never dreamed of result.

On the other hand however…

Edit: Fuck me 9 blocked shots…if only we’d had those in our last PL game.

I’d like to see their throw-in count.

We’re playing like a rugby team kicking for touch.

I feel sick again - I am feeling bruised by sport at the moment
