:efl: :mancityfc: Manchester City v Saints :saints: (Carabao Cup 4th Round)

thing is bout targets, is there is dead centre and there is just about scraping in… so what was it?

BOOM! We can do this!!

Don’t over analyse MoT, it won’t give you the answers you really need.

Whooop Whoop! At least the fans who travelled and are still at the game have something to cheer :lou_lol:

Stephens outscoring Adams then.

Maybe Stephens could start up front Saturday
Strangely a great save from a Boufal shot, a mishit by Stephens and it could be 3-3 already

Rabbits in headlights 1st half
Playing them off the park this half
Massive 24% possesion.
'Tater - one positive Southampton can take away from tonight is that they aren’t playing Leicester on Friday.

Yay! we blooded another youngster.
Vokins gets 3 minutes

Nice to have a left back on the pitch, and we didn’t concede after he came on.

That was WAY better than it could h ave been. Obviously we got beat BUT only 3-1.
We did show shape and discipline so it is an improvement.
TBH we stand a chance of getting out of these 2 games with less than double figure aggregate score. Baz will moan BUT it is a small step on the road to improvement, who knows? with a bit of luck and the save & mis hit we could have been waiting for extra time.
Will take that

I don’t know what I find harder to believe… the fact we only conceded three or that we scored from a corner. Both are unheard of in recent times.

Why- has JWP been perma-dropped

JWP Romeu again so off the pace. Romeu at fault for 2nd goal losing his man PEH effort but not a PL quality left back.
Danso showed touches.
Macca MOTM.Valery so frustrating so good then such bad delivery.
Did Armstrong play? Still better than JWP.
Boufal, Long did their jobs.
Still some losing it on Twitter- idiots

So we are in agreement that if Gunn plays on Saturday then Ralph has lost his marbles?

This suggests a gentleman’s agreement has been made for PEH to leave in the summer.

All parties are quiet on talks of a new deal so I’m inclined to believe that a decision has already been made.

Two comments…

  1. Carl Anka’s follow-up tweet seemed to row back a little on the implication
  1. Why is this attached to the Man City v Saints Carabao Cup 4th Round thread?

Were you dropping a hint?

Is PEH off to Man City?

Off to make a cup of tea so I can read the tea leaves.

EDIT: Note to self. Don’t use tea bags.

The reasoning there is somewhat flawed (not yours, that in the article). Given that PEH’s contract is up in the summer, why would any agreement, gentleman’s or otherwise, be needed? All he has to do is not sign a new contract, and at the end of June he’ll be free to walk away from the club.

The follow-up tweet seems to make more sense though.

His contract runs out in June 2021.
