You seem to miss the very important point: You simply can not blame migrants for the problems caused by 40 years of underinvestment in our infrastructure. Underinvestment that was the result of Thatcherite policies that cut spending, sold off our services (which is why we all (inc our poorest) pay so much for their gas and Electricity, water etc) and housing stick to make themselves and many if their voters rich and then now 40 years later want to blame migrants and the very same rich twats stoke this up - amongst those who they know are either racists or ignorant enough to believe the shite…

You’re missing the point like a child, who is blaming immigrants, we haven’t enough resources and that is this nations fault, the poorest bare the burden though, this is what I’ve been saying all along, if this nation was some Shangri-La then of course we should do far far more, I’m not blaming someone coming here, only a stupid person would, we haven’t as it stands the houses, the hospitals, the correct jobs and many others things.

You’re correct and Thatcher is hugely to blame, what the fuck that has to do with the reality of the housing crisis now and how we solve it is another thing altogether, it happened 40 years ago, nothing has been done since and our population has grown hugely due to immigration (unskilled and skilled) and here we are, simply saying it was Thatcher doesn’t mitigate nor help the fact we’ve no space, we all fucking know we’ve no space and you saying that is like saying it’ll be dark tomorrow night, what is the solution?
Not sure why I bother but one last time. Whatever the situation now, ITS NOT THE FAULT of MIGRANTS. Yes they use up a little tiny bit of scarce resource but no where near enough to make any significant difference to the day-to day lives of those people living in those communities… The likes of REFORM and Musk and all the other arseholes know this. But they chose deliberately to spread lies that divide communities because that is their route into power.
Solutions are complex, but if there is to be any sort if traction, it needs FULL community support and that starts with calling out those who seek to divide and conquer

We all know its bollocks, most do anyway, but what are the solutions? Its easy to say he is a fraud as he is, Trump is even worse but he was elected, why? That I feel you need to confront, why is Farage appealing when he is a lying arsehole?
He convinces the non-thinking, who are dissatisfied with everything, that all other politicians are corrupt and causing their dissatisfaction, and that he is anti- politicians and can get rid of them all to be replaced by himself, who’s just a normal bloke, not a politician. Trump is much the same, but worse.
As most people don’t understand politics and don’t trust politicians, they happily think he’s on their side against the system.
Which he clearly isn’t. Just an act. He loves being popular. He would be utterly disastrous in government - Truss on steroids - as he has no answers, only the ability to stir up discontent

The danger is that not only do these populists cause havoc without a clue they are happy to let the thuggish element continue to intimidate making excuses for them.. it is this emboldened minority that undermine any positive steps to unite and integrate communities… they have always been here… the brownshirts, the NF the BNP etc… keeping popping up like a huge turd that won’t flush whenever there is an economic challenge… Matters not to them who, Jews, Blacks, Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshi, gays, now migrants… same shite different year, and Farage has learned from the ‘masters’ as his schoolday adoration if the Hitler youth demonstrated… Anyone who supports him CAN be labelled accordingly…
And what has conventional politics delivered other than promises, lies and scorn for the last 40/50 years? This is a result of that, he didn’t grow in a vacuum.

Fair points to some extent… BUT those planning laws are there precisely to stop the mistakes of the past… the nightmare estates, highrise ghettos, deathtrap insulation and TBH ugly shite that is cheap as shite to build for max rental profit by private landlords…
Also a Big issue is that so much if the land for building is already owned by private companies -landbanks that have seen little activity for 10 or 20 years… Government could and should say build on it within 3 years or lose it for what you paid for it…
