For the love of God, if you see Eric in a Pub before the game, lock him in the bathroom or something.
He hasn’t seen us win away since he’s been back & his tickets arrived today
??? You have been out of the UK for too long Phil
29 years & counting…
I’m going to introduce him to my daughter. We’ve won every live game she’s ever attended. It could be a sort of matter/antimatter moment.
Lawro, Lawro, Lawro, when will you learn??
Leeds v Southampton
Having Patrick Bamford out injured again is a big blow for Leeds but at least they have a bit of momentum now after winning their past two games.
Their 3-2 victory at Wolves last time out was a crazy game but a great watch - and you just know Jesse Marsch’s side will have a real go again at Elland Road this time.
It’s hard to know what to expect from Southampton because they seem to go from being on a very good run to being on a very bad one. An entertaining draw probably isn’t a bad shout.
Lawro’s prediction: 1-1
Jim’s prediction: 2-2
Nope, no luck at all, officiating crew for the weekend :-
Referee: Anthony Taylor
Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn
Fourth official: Robert Jones
VAR: Mike Dean
Assistant VAR: Neil Davies
Shit. That’s a nailed-on red card for Saints from “Mr Look At Me” finding an angle and freeze frame that suits his agenda. Following penalty on the same basis.
I’d settle for that.
Break the press, get it in the final third, low cross across the box, tap in. Easy
Thought I’d share this from another forum
According to a fascinating article on AceOdds (which I found via Hampshire Live) only 5 of the 17 referees in their survey have ‘given’ us a lower proportion of wins than Anthony Taylor when they’ve been in the middle. One of those - needless to say - is Mike Dean so we shouldn’t be expecting too many favours tomorrow - unless, of course, they’ve read the article and have resolved to do better! To make matters worse, no other team has a worse win record under Taylor than us: Leeds have won half their games (probably not very many, to be fair).
This article is essential reading for everyone convinced that referees are out to do us down (hint: they often are) but at least we can have hope with Michael Oliver!
A bit surprised to see Diallo getting the nod over Stuey.
Under the cosh at the moment, we are very weak at defending set pieces, Leeds should really have scored with a free header from that corner.
Should be a yellow for foul on Broja no free kick so they then score
Fuck sake, what a soft goal to concede. Pathetic flap at the ball from Forster, our defenders panicking like headless chickens.
JWP struggling by his standards.
Eric at the game.
Was always gonna happen
Best part of 1st half was the pint of Directors from my imported stash washing down the pickles & Pork Lard nibbles
Another classic from Prowsey.
