Koeman at Finch Farm with his agent?

Ron

Sign the extension or sign the Everton contract. I don’t give a fuck which you do, but get the fuck on with it so we can crack on with our plans and sign the players (and new manager) we want.

the longer you fuck us about the more damage you are doing us.

thanks

#WeMarchOnAndOnAndOn

It’s good to be able to continously philosophically exchange like this in these times of turmoil.

Its an Ok read Pap, but not Gospel, and lacks a certain self awareness - that we are told (frequently) by the uberfans, broadcasters, pundits, in fact everyone connected with the game that its the emotional connection that makes it what it is… that a club’s history and ambition is more attractive than just money. … yet when fans react emotionally to logical situations, they are bedwetters and having melt downs or whatever… It ignores that its not systemsand structures or strategies, but players, the team and the success they bring that fans form emotional connections with.

Psychologists might even go so far as to suggest that there is an element of ‘denial’ in the ‘non-bedwetter’ mentality - refusing to let emotions out in self defence - or even as a barrier to letting the ‘victorious’ piss take from other clubs affect them. …’‘never let them see you cry’’… etc

To be honest its actually a lot simpler than that article or the BS above. Its just pisses me off that we have this annual exodus, when we have seen the benefits of continuity. Sue there is a bit of excitement generated by the prospect of some new blood - maybe a bit more foreign exotica etc… but there is also teh fucking fear of a Moyes or Alladyce type… Now that would fuck me off big time. :lou_surprised:

Somebody should post that on the other place. Might save a few coronaries.

Don’t let him go, put him on gardening leave for a year and get AVB or FdB in.

That would take balls but would earn some respect.

After all how is that different from benching a petulant player ?

Do you honestly think we’re going to appoint Allardyce or Moyes? Allardyce is a pure percentages man and I’m sure that the club would rather be in the business of winning the Europa League than rehabilitating Moyes’ career.

The sort of people the bookies are being linked with are a sign of our progression. We’re in the Europa League proper, decent financial clout, decent squad and the resources to build on it. Better managers have joined clubs in worse positions.

I reckon we’ll do alright, and if the account of Emery turning them down is true, it’ll be glorious if he comes here and acquits himself well.

Bit of cutting off nose to spite face - in that we lose out finacially… and would also be difficult to attract managers if they knew we had a rep for fucking with their next ambitions…

Ouch, Pap - that’s too soon. Koeman?

You can be a lifelong fan, love the club and not go into emotional overload at organic events like this.

It’s not a death in the family it’s just one of the employees of the family business leaving for pastures new. It’s exciting…it doesn’t threaten the structure…it opens a door on an exciting new chapter in the progress of the business.

He was good…let’s see if we can get a better man. :lou_lol:

Respect from whom?

i wouldn’t want that at all. It seems short sighted and bitter. I have the same attitude as I do with players…the bloke wants to go, then he can go. I might make a deal with a key player to allow them to leave if they give one more year, but I wouldn’t do that with a manager. The players needs to know that the manager is committed. How can Koeman sell the vision of the club when he himself doesn’t buy into it?

I’m coping.

I’m all over Twitter at the moment. I suspect many are. Interesting tweet from Adam Blackmore. He reckons that Koeman fired his agent because he was advising him against taking the Everton job. That looks very dodgy indeed. How did he know what was on offer from Everton in those circumstances?

If Blackmore’s tweet is correct, appears as if RK engineered this from the start.

For my two penneth worth of “feeder clubs”, people get the wrong impression as English players and there are some who could play elsewhere won’t go, United are a feeder club in their continental players to Spain but not our British ones, Bale you scream well did United bid that much and did they really want him?

The only way we will get to retain players is to do a Chelsea or a City, that wont happen so the glass ceiling has been rewached, the board won’t say it but fuck me you’ll have to be blind not to see it, so its not the players its the Leibherrs if you really want to blame someone but can you balme them? Can you bollocks.

You either pay or they dont stay.

Is this unravelling?

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has not agreed any deal yet to take over as Everton manager, his agent has confirmed.

Reports on Friday and Saturday had suggested that the Dutchman had come to an agreement with the Merseyside club, with Rob Jansen quoted by Voetbal International as saying: “We have reached an aggrement with Everton, Now it is up to the clubs.”

This is interesting. Reading between the lines, sounds like they’re not keen on taking Erwin along.

“That’s really not the case,” Jansen said regarding any deal being completed. “First, the clubs must have agreed. Then we get back into action. I can not say whether his brother Erwin will go along as an assistant. That’s all still premature now. Let’s just quietly wait if the clubs come to an agreement.”

The fans up here don’t want Lee in any capacity and want Feguson in some role, now either you believe me or you dont.

Hadn’t considered that angle, Bazza. For some reason, I was under the impression that Sammy Lee’s arrival pre-dated Koeman, but nope, he jumped ship from Brighton to join up with Koeman.

I don’t believe that Everton fans don’t want former Liverpool player, Sammy Lee, as a coach.
