Feel sorry for Klopp ( although with 15-20 mil from its maybe the wrong word) ā¦ the deluded on Merseyside believe its possible to win the league without the levels of spend of the Chelsea/City clubsā¦ and that they have a devine right to it because of their āhistoryāā¦
As for Allerdeechee (ha fucking ha) to Sunderlandā¦ is it just me or do the likes of fat sam illustrate why English football is pretty shite when you takle the āforeignersā out our game ?
I think big Sam is a good appointment for Sunderland. Given that no one else is going to take that job. Theyāre a mess and have been for years. He will do a decent job there but I still think they are going down.
I donāt suppose the Sunderland supporters feel as underwhelmed as I did when we followed Liverpoolās appointment of Rafael Benitez with that of Steve Wigley
Fat Sam unlikely to leave due to the various interfering people there? Would be their first manager in about six to not suffer from that, if so.
All good fun. There are other pictures doing the rounds in far worse taste.
Iām sorry but I donāt see Kloop doing any better at 'pool than Deluded Brendan did.
As for Sunderland and Sam, match made in Heaven for the lovers of turgid, attritional footballā¦
My favourite description of Klopp so far, from Barney Ronay - āHe looks like a very friendly life-sized cartoon cat who wants to give you a high five and teach you how to cross the road.ā. The rest of the article makes interesting reading too. Iāll be fascinated to see how he does in this country; Iād agree with Ronay that football here (as with many other things) is profoundly anti-intellectual. And, if there is such a thing as a footballing intellectual, then Klopp is that thing.
I think BFS could be ideal for Sunderland, as long as he makes it clear that he and he alone dfeals with transfers (and, of course, that he and he alone takes the benefits associated with said transfers). His teams play by numbers, like those of Pulis, but if he gets those numbers right heāll keep them up I reckon.
Klopp was pretty impressive in his press conference.
I think heās going to be a class act for them, unfortunately.
Talks a lot of sense and comes across really well.
Not sure the Liverpool fans will identify with him.
Big Sam will keep Sunderland up. Love him or as many do, hate him, but he will do a good job with them.
What are the odds on Kevin Nolan and Carlton Cole signing for Sunderland in January?
'Bout same as NK signing for them (NK because I canāt spell Nic Kronjcharrjrr) had our deal old darling twitcher got the gigā¦ might have been too far from Rosieās Bank
Fergie is apparently āworriedā, being Liverpool and all that.
I have to say, I had the misfortune of being on a plane to Belfast on the Monday morning following Man Unitedās record breaking 19th title. It was full of Norn Iron boys, who, on top of their victory, obviously planned a night out in Liverpool to drink scouse tears.,
One of them drew 19 in the condensation of the window of the airside bus. At least three of them just kept on saying ānineteenā. Little bit eerie, if Iām honest. If nothing else, Iād like those scary mindless cunts off their perch.
