Not sure it matters if some one died or not - the fact they are delaying emergency services is enough (too much)
But then they have no choice because the govt is committing genocide and I am just so scared wah

You donāt have a sympathetic / empathic bone in your body do you.
I do, but not for dickheads
Actually I do think that some of these JSO peeps have issues and have latched on to this cause in a way that is unhealthy - almost in the same way as those Muslim nippers were radicalised.
If you remember that lass who chained herself to a Motorway gantry and was sobbing into the camera - that wasnāt normal
Yep some probably do have issues, but I genuinely do think that youāve clearly demonstrated (sic) that itās fine to disagree or demonstrate as long as it fits into your worldview (Iām referring to you this time).
Me? I think theyāre ādickheadsā as well and I donāt necessarily agree with their tactics, but the suppression of dissent in favour of promoting the views of the current government and pals, along with the right wing press and those who believe every word or lie they spout is a dangerous path.
This media shit is happening in front of our eyes and so many people just lap it up and repeat it as if itās the truth. Absolutely shameful (imho of course)
They can protest all they like, if they want to make a din in Parliament square, they should go for it - like you I disagree with the tactics, they are impacting the wrong people - they donāt help their cause. even one of their more prominent funders has called them out on this
If you look at twitter, (which I very rarely do,) it really does seem that their protests are backfiring quite spectacularly. Their own account has abusive replies amounting to at least ninety percent. Very few replies are supportive of them. Plus thereās loads of threads on other accounts, overwhelmingly opposing them.
Whilst the JSO plums are gluing themselves to roads and throwing soup over paintings, there are plenty of clever people working hard to increase renewable energy production in the UK.
As of 1.25pm, 58% of GB energy generation mix is zero carbon. 29% wind, 10% solar, the rest from biomass and other sources. Not a bad effort at all. The UK is actually pretty good when it comes to renewables. I say its not the apocalyptic scenario of inaction that some make out.
In addition to this there are further projects planned to increase capacity. The new Lionlink generation line between the UK and Holland will provide renewable energy for 1.8m homes.
Maybe the JSO lot would better serve their cause by getting off their gluey arses, and working in the renewable energy sector to improve things further. They are symptomatic of the whinging cuntocracy who dont want to do anything positive, preferring to moan about what others should do instead of grafting to make things better.
Iāve been saying this for ages. Itās a nonsense to suggest that the government is doing nothing, theyāre plainly pressing the agenda as hard as they think they can get away with short of causing the collapse of the economic system itself. The switch to EVs in itself is a colossal undertaking, itās a sea-change in driving and fuelling transport across the UK. Add in massive shifts towards heat pumps etc, and the renewable infrastructure to power it all, itās hard to see what these protesters are calling for that could be being done but isnāt.
The building regulations have changed beyond recognition in the last 10 years. The latest Part L changes are quite stringent and present certain problems for new developments that have started on site after 15th June. There is no gas (hasnt been for some time), heat pumps are the preferred source of heating / hot water and often PV is a supplementary requirement to reach compliance. Personally id love to see more use of solar thermal for hot water, but it seems to have fallen out of fashion.
When it comes to thermal efficiency then u value targets have become considerably stricter, meaning much higher insulation levels. There are fewer choices when it comes to design, but its for the best.
There are numerous other issues that affect new developments such as dealing with nitrate pollution and water neutrality, which have stalled many a recent planning application, but if sites are started, then the houses being built should be far more efficient.
One of the biggest issues is with the efficiency of existing housing stock, but changing that is a mammoth task that no one has really got to grips with yet.
Tell me about it - when we did our extension recently, the ration of glass to floor space was a big factor and did have an impact on what we opted to do
Climate protesters in Scotland have spray painted a portrait of the King - a environmental campaigner for the last 50 years
I misread that and thought that was a very nice gesture.
Nope - they were just simple twats
Didnāt realise that Heathrow is caught by the ULEZ
It could cost you £17.50 to drop someone off
Thatās with the fiver drop off charge?
so you go up the M3 away from London on the M25 to Heathrow and get a ULEZ charge and a drop off charge for the airport what a fucking rip off.
Yep
