I will be wearing black with a little bit of red as it’s an away game. I’d suggest if that’s going to be your diet for the rest of the week, you might need to stock up on laxatives for Friday.

I think you’ll all be relieved to hear I won’t be involving myself with a bout of daily hand and member friction due to the likelihood of severe hand cramps.
I will however be engaging in the can’t fail, Stripey bowl and porridge combo on Thursday morning.

I can confirm that I only have the good luck pants and sock combo for home games. It used to be mr happy! I do not have an away games superstition as I grew up watching Saints in the late 80’s and an away win was very very rare, so it was hard to get anything going!
I have never had the need for an away European game superstition, but now might be a good time to start one.
I’m thinking Sotonians badge along with one of my others. Maybe one of those half and half scarfs… who’s with me? No, ok.
Our party of four will be donning ceremonial Benali masks.

Meanwhile, today I will get fit and into shape by walking around endlessly staring blankly at things I don’t comprehend - not architecture per se, more an IT Trade show, but think it will be good practice. Planning to put a couple of ice packs in my suit pocket to get acclimatised to the bitter cold temperatures we can expect over there
Given the Italians are pretty big on Popeist church stuff, probably not a good idea to play that in Milan…
