If the Americans decide to

go isolationist and pull troops back from deployment, who’ll fill the vacuum?

What should their foreign policy be? In simplistic terms should the drawbridge go up and let the World burn?

Didn’t the americans set most of it on fire in the first place? Maybe we’d be better off :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

hello Russia!

hello new world order!

if China decide to get involved that will make it even more interesting, but they seen more concerned with regional issues right now.

it won’t happen though, the usa aren’t going to back off completely.

Russia is skint and couldn’t hold anything or only in their old states and satelites, even then NATO nations who pay thier 2% will be assured of help ie Estonia, the others get paying ie Germany.

Why should the US police the World, they get no help for it.

because with great power comes great responsibility

Does it? Responsibilty doesn’t mean interference, morally arguments for and against, they’ve tried hard power how about soft? They always get criticised for it so why bother? They spend more on their military and arms than anyone else, maybe they should only look after their own and the ones who support them? Sounds fair to me.
