At 112 for 6 in 27 overs, Netherlands seemed gone for all money. Then they scripted a turnaround that speaks volumes of their character and resolve. Scott Edwards, who plays a lot of cricket in Australia, led the way with a terrific exhibition of batting, especially against spin, to keep the scorecard chugging along. He was supported amply, first by Logan van Beek and then by Roelof van der Merwe.
His partnership of 64 with van der Merwe fired Netherlands past 200, before Aryan Dutt came in and showed some tremendous enterprise in playing a stunning cameo. All said, Edwards has had a massive part to play in Netherlands standing a chance in this game going into the halfway mark. You don’t wanna miss this.
