Thank god for that. Yesterday was very damaging for our survival hopes, as we could have dragged Wolves back in it. I think it is probably too late as I cannot see us picking up 20/25 points, that would be a run of positive results that we have not been on for a few years.

I saw an old episode of the Simpsons the other day which has reminded me of nathan jones’ tenure with us, the one where Homer voices ‘Poochy’, a new character addition to the ‘Itchy and Scratchy’ cartoon. Poochy was awful, outspoken, aggravated the loyal fans and didn’t fit in which resulted in a run of bad episodes and ultimately was unceremoniously dispatched never to be seen again after being launched into space.

I’m eagerly watching the Southampton skies for signs of lift off.

I think we could do a lot worse than Rafa Benitez, if we could prise him away from the golf courses on The Wirral. Seen Chris Wilder’s name mentioned too, he might be a good choice. He started his career at Saints as a trainee.
