:saints: How do You Solve a Problem Like Southampton 🤷‍♂️

Those not calling for free money from our owners (who spend nothing at SFC) were calling for Ralph Out and then calling for the backroom staff to go.

It is a start. Something was very wrong, the legs had gone, the mental fragility, that all comes from the specialists.

And Dave Watson was doing more than coaching FF & Macca (Set Pieces) and we weren’t seeing ANY improvement (how many corners did we score from/concede from?

Watson has not been goalkeeper coach for a couple of years at least. It’s Andrew Sparkes now.

That’s why Fraser had started to look half decent again

And I did always wonder how a keeper could coach outfield players - can’t learn everything in life from a book on a course

I should imagine Ralf is going to have more tactical experienced people around him. When things are going well, I should imagine that he is a very good manager, but if I am honest he looked a lost and down man. Perhaps he needs a better team around him.

We will see next season, because these changes will have come from him. He wants a new team around him, so looks like he is getting a final roll of the dice. Does not work or has a poor start to 22/23 season and he will be gone and he knows it.

I see the Saints twitterati are all coming up with “don’t change the monkeys change the organ grinder”.

TBF I think he needs more experienced and stronger people around him. I mean I’m damn good at my job but I still occasionally need advice!!

They are indeed all very similar. They’re all shite.

PS - I do like Stuart Armstrong.

Stuart Armstrong is my favourite player. When fully fit there are not many better than him. Don’t think he has been fully fit all season.

There was time when S Armstrong first arrived that he wasn’t used, and I just couldn’t fathom why not, beating in mind the other numties that were getting game time back then.
Buying a player and then not using him seemed stupid, as it does now with the other Armstrong.

Hmm

Hints here of some kind of falling out? I get the feeling that the lot of them haven’t been getting along and playing nicely for some time. Perhaps they were telling him his team selections, tactics and subs were rubbish, so he got them all sacked. The fact that they were actually not qualified/able to do the job is also relevant.

I’m thinking they were all just too nice, too comfortable, too set in their ways
I maintain our legs were gone, that isnt Ralph, that’s the coaching, fitness and science teams.

Plus none of them were actual top level outfield players

Alfie is no Carl Anka but he is good & his heart is in the right place

As I’ve always said, its a terrible squad and 5 of the main starters aren’t good enough.

The Daily Echo site makes me feel as though I am tripping my nuts off. Unreadable.

I think the articles are only to fill in the gaps between the adverts. I don’t think they expect anyone to actually read the articles.

I can forgive the ads swamping the article, they have to make money somewhere.

I cannot forgive the constant and inevitable typos, for some they have always boiled my piss. “Saeson”, ffs :rage::rage: it’s shoddy and lazy (Shoddy and Lazy, our new centre backs?)
