Has the Brexit argument been effectively won so

Bazza seems a very ANGRY person… in the styleeee of the Daily Mail - getting vexed over anything and everything said by those he does not agree with… ‘‘those Nasssty hobbitses and there EU loving ways’’

Bazza not liking those sandal wearing liberal EU crowd

Bazza listening to all opinions on the EU

Think it through, Saatchi = Tories.

It wouldn’t happen the other way round would it?

Are you smoking crack?

You do know OBV has been going for a year? This is a new low.

Is someone going to explain why it is called Operation Black Vote surely this is a racist term and it should be operation anybody but caucasian vote?

But this is also a racist term and it should be just “operation vote” to get everbody that is not voting to vote.

Here is the picture Barry is so offended by.

I think it’s provocative, but I also reckon it’s clever.

So is this being done by the black community to get them to vote? if so racist.

Is he saying: “Go on Mum, pull my finger,” ?

Why? I’d really like to know.

Is it racist because the white person is depicted as a skinhead? If so, you could say it’s equally racist for depicting an Indian woman in a sari; most girls of Indian origin I know don’t routinely wear one.

I’ve never had to go through this myself, due to my “appears as white” status, but if I moved to another country, I could quite easily imagine myself wondering about how strong my political voice should be.

This poster simply affirms that it doesn’t matter where you come from. As a British citizen, your vote counts equally.

No its racist because it is Operation BLACK vote not because of anything in the picture

If you are not allowed to have for whites why should you have for blacks

THe organisation if it is that Operation Black vote is wrong it should be operation vote and no race involved at all.

So by that token, we shouldn’t have MOBOs or Black Pride days?

Political campaigners target all kinds of demographics. I know for a fact that people will lay buses on just to get OAPs down to the polling station. That’s time and effort trying to get the OAP vote out.

Is that ageist?

If not, then the poster isn’t racist.

Correct you should not have MOBO’s or Black pride day unless you can equally have a (pick a colour) day as well

If there was White actors only awards they would get slated for being racist so why does it not work the other way around? that is all I am saying.

And the buses for OAP should also have to take anybody else that wants to actually vote if it is on the same route.

This already happens and you’re just ignoring it, along with a load of other factors.

First off, the predominant racial group in this country is White British, and nearly everything is designed for us and geared around us. We can drive nice cars without being stopped twice a week, no-one makes assumptions about our supposed criminality or Britishness based on the colour of our skin, and we never really have to deal with racism day-to-day.

Indeed, this poster is an excellent example of how far white people are from actually understanding the problem. Look at the shit that has been lost over a poster. You claim its racist because it is targeting black voters. I see it as something completely different.

If there was White actors only awards they would get slated for being racist so why does it not work the other way around? that is all I am saying.

The point you’re missing is that nearly everything is designed for the cultural norm of white people anyway. Going by your logic, we’d be closing down black community centres, outreach programs and anything else designed to help smooth the integration of people into our culture.

And the buses for OAP should also have to take anybody else that wants to actually vote if it is on the same route.

But they don’t. They don’t give a fuck about anyone else. They are specifically targeting a demographic to the exclusion of all others, because they know if they don’t bus them down to the polling stations, the likelihood is they won’t vote.

This is a political campaign targeted at a specific demographic. It isn’t racist, and if you really want to find groups that celebrate whiteness to the exclusion of all else, we live in a free country and there are groups you can join. They’re not particularly well thought of though, because they, unlike this poster, are actually racist.

This I beg to differ

I am Caucasian technically middle aged with two children still in full time education.

A few years ago I was unemployed I was in the UK staying with my father as I had nowhere else to live. I contacted social services and they informed me that as I was white middle aged and living with one of my parents they could not help me.

Why did they have to ask my ethnic backgroound before they said they could not help me?

This is what i find wrong about the way things now appear in the UK.

It’s got fuck all to do with you being white, and everything to do with a needs based system, your level of need and its ability to accommodate you. Unless your parents’ place was overcrowded, they wouldn’t have seen a need to house you over someone in a less secure situation.

Of course, if the supply was there, it wouldn’t have been a problem - but that doesn’t stop people blaming immigrants anyway.

So, have people actually decides which way they’re going to vote yet? Personally I was looking towards exit, but after reading a lot of the posts on here, and the people who are actually supporting Brexit, I can’t bring myself to side with them.

It’s a shame, because I am sure there are some good arguments there, but the people who support Brexit vocally are doing it more damage than it would if they were silent. That also includes you BS.

Philipine Saint - It’s not racist.

Operation Balck Vote is not racist, its an organization that encourages more ethnic minorities to vote, because traditionally their particitation is low - often because they feel disenfranchised and under-represented politically. Its no different from having an organisation to get young people back to the ballot box, or the grey vote.

The poster is provocative for sure - and to me it is more critical of those that dont vote - eg, if you dont vote, you cant complain about what sort of society we live in.

I am not really in favour of MOBO or similar celebrations that isolate achivements by ethnic groups etc as I do not see how it helps further integration, despite it being born out of need to offer recognition where this was traditionally underrepresented in ‘white’ dominated events - but the voting poster/and organization IS different in this respect as its about encouraging ethnic minorities NOT to be isolationist and be a stronger part of the comunity.

the image of that bro seems a racist stereotype to me, he’s like a White Golliwog. And if UKIP tried to do their equivalent of this poster, it would be tres racist srs. The Indian woman on one end would have 10 members of her family all living in a council house on full benefits, and the white bro on the other end would be dangling 10ft up in the air, unable to get a job and about to be evicted for mortgage areers.

Cunts on both sides imo.

Edit: I don’t mean cunts on both sides of the C.Soares, I mean cunts on both sides of the fearmongering.

So why did they need to know my ethnicity before they told me they could not help me?

I am not at any stage blaming immigrants, I am an Immigrant to the Philippines.

I just get pissed off because there is double standards in play and people will white wash it the way that they want it to go.

I think in short time the #1 priority of EU is to prop up Euro, and as we ain’t got Euro, I don’t know that I want to be investing in that, so I prob like to LEAVE. Plus, LEAVE will be more Drama, and I like Drama. I hope we LEAVE, if only for the lols.
