Has the Brexit argument been effectively won so

never mind that, we need to think of a word for schadenfreude.

Lots of bedwetting on this forum today, reminds me of the other place.

May I be the first to say, I’m delighted.

Apparently we should prepare ourselves for the return of polio, TB and rickets.

Oh, and the 3-day week was in 1974, when we were already in Europe.

Well I drove to work today and the sky was still up there, I didn’t see any panzer divisions rolling up west quay road and the four horseman of the apocolypse stayed at home.

The markets are down, but alot of this is reversing the rally that it went though over the last two weeks when the remain vote was looking likely. The initial falls today are reversing already.

It will is not going to be as good as the leave campaign said, but equally it won’t be as bad as the remain campaign told us. The next week will be somewhat volitile, but once the markets have stopped racing around like headless chickens and reflected a bit, life will start to return to the status quo.

Cameron is going - that is probably right, I think GO will go with him. I still think that it will not be Boris or Gove (god forbid), but an outsider who comes through.

I suspect many on here just don’t want England to look racist and backward.

That’s not bedwetting, it’s having pride in a modern country that wants to be successful while embracing multiculturalism and offering care to the elderly and the weakest in society.

If caring about the economy and the reputation of the England that my grandchildren are growing up in is bedwetting, then I’m happy to lay in a puddle of my own piss.

Why do we have to be in the EU to do any of this?

More importantly does this mean Saints are still in Europe next year ?

Nobody thinks these fucking things through

Because CB, many people voted on immigration and they have just supported candidates to the right of the current government so further cuts are likely in an uncertain economy.

Snap election required, as the government screwed up. There has to be a GE next year some time surely?

screwed up in which sense? backing bremain? there’s no case for a GE to allow a brexit supporting party into power.

edit: bremain, not brexit

And in a couple of years (maybe even sooner) you can get rid of them.

The EU doesn’t have a monolpoly on forward thinking and multiculturism

No, we have just voted to leave the Europa cup too!

It probably won’t be that bad in all honesty.

What will make me laugh though is if Pap’s vote has essentially killed off Corbyn…

EP pres Martin Schulz says there will be “consequences” for Britain so other EU countries are not “encouraged to follow that dangerous path”

If that’s not one good reason to applaud the leavers then I don’t know what is…

consequences such as joining a trade group with an increasing number of non-EU european states?

So, BoJo in as PM, need a new Chancellor. David Davis as chief negotiator I reckon.
