Umm, we played Glamorgan away

Next 2 are away, 1 home and then 1 away.

I clearly haven’t been paying attention then! :lou_facepalm_2: I’m sure when I looked at the Glamorgan match on Cricinfo it showed the venue as the Rose Bowl.

You’re right, we batted second so that’s why I thought we were away, idiot.

Our first game was against Kent at Canterbury

First loss in the One Day Cup

Could have been because I never watched or listened to it as Philippine internet has been down all afternoon and evening.

Defeat out of the way before I attend on Tues :+1:

Vince called up to replace Hales for the one day series against Pakistan. Hope he can stay calm and not go chasing outside off stump too often.

Hants 11/1

Alsop departs without troubling the scorers.

Meaker to Alsop, OUT , a loose drive outside off, and a superb low catch at slip! , Burns swooping to his left to cling on in one hand

TP Alsop c Burns b Meaker 0 (16m 7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

45/2 Vince gone

Meaker to Vince, OUT , a beauty from Meaker, pinging the top of the bails as Vince plays solidly forward but down the wrong line!

JM Vince b Meaker 28 (19m 19b 5x4 0x6) SR: 147.36

102/3 Sam goes North by Northeast in the 17.4 over

Patel to Northeast, OUT , snaky delivery from Patel, wicket to wicket, and into the timbers as Northeast presses forward, bat and pad together, and inside-edges onto his stumps

SA Northeast b Patel 24 (38m 31b 3x4 0x6) SR: 77.41

End of the 26th over, 124/4

Patel to Rossouw, OUT , a loose waft, and back goes Rossouw’s off stump! Beaten by a canny cutter, but that looked an ugly dismissal, beating the inside edge

RR Rossouw b Patel 14 (17m 19b 2x4 0x6) SR: 73.68

307 a/o, didn’t bat through, 4 balls short of the 50 overs

10 overs of the reply gone, no wickets down

28 overs gone, and I’m off home, I expect this to be all over by the time I get there :-

And it’s now 175/5, with the required run rate standing at over 8.5 per over. Could still do with a couple more wickets I think.

And there’s one of them. It’s 182/6, two new batsmen at the crease, and asking rate of 9 an over with 14 to play.

Two wickets in two balls for Kyle Abbott, and Surrey are 202/8. All over bar the shouting, but let’s see if Kyle can get the hat-trick!

He didn’t. Ah well, it’ll still be a fifth win from six games. Groovy.
