Well, well, well, what a tremendous victory for Hampshire โ€“ apparently some bookies were offering odds of 100/1 against us winning at Day 1 close of play โ€“ and what a fantastic advertisement for County Championship Cricket!!!

But talk about tense! I sank three pints in little over ten minutes after we lost Dawsonโ€™s wicket.

Really hope this serves as a springboard for the rest our season.

Add this to our win at West Brom โ€“ what an absolutely brilliant weekend!

I know someone on here doesnโ€™t like the phrase Really Buzzing โ€“ well, sorry mate, but at the moment Iโ€™m Really Buzzing!

One hell of a chase, any which way you look at it. In a low-scoring match, where it was the highest total by almost 50 runs, thatโ€™s just phenomenal. Hope Iโ€™m not sounding too hyperbolic here, but that really is a spectacular result - all the more so given our travails oover recent seasons. Wow.

For those of us with a passion for Hants CCC as well as for Southampton FC, what better news to lift deflated spirits than this?

Less than a year after being diagnosed with cancer, Michael Carberry scores 84 not out against the County Champions Middlesex.

Brilliant, just brilliant.

Not keeping this one up to date

Hants got a Draw against Yorkshire after making them bat again.

Ballance saved the Tykeโ€™s by getting a double century in the second innings and a Century in the first

But we are third in the table after three matches 5 points of the lead

Edited because it appears we cannot delete anymore

surely we should be winning this leg?

Middlesex 295 all out in 50 overs

Hants still to bat

Middlesex win by 80 runs according to the D/L method

Which is what exactly @philippinesaint - some us sons of the soccer field have no understanding of what you speakโ€ฆ

Is it like the offside rule?

It was fucking cold. Iโ€™m still shivering.

This is a way of deciding the outcome of a cricket match affected by the weather, using a computation devised by Mr Duckworth and Mr Lewis the exact formula I have no idea what it is

Royal London One Day Cup versus Somerset today, Hampshire ar ebowling first.
