Alsop gone. Did not seem comfortable with a SR of 38. Hants 49-1 off 11.3
122-4. 28 overs. Dawson gone. Smith and McLaren there but it’s looking a lot harder with several of their bowlers being highly economical
All four of our batsmen out lbw sweeping across the line.
ffs
All out 245, 6 runs short. Some very poor dismissals tonight.
At least they went down fighting, just.
Hampshire Cricket 2016
Fucking stupid game, anyway.
Roll on the footie season.
A Valient effort well done my son.
I take it from the defeat we did not qualify for the quarter finals ?
Correct, we had to win to qualify. With recent performances much better, we should have got to 250 ok, but Somerset were already top of the group and bowled extremely well.
is that effectively the cricket over for this season or can we still expect a great escape from relegation?

Adams (88) is caught at point by Croft, as Clark ends Hants’ highest opening partnership against @ LancsCCC on this ground. 191-1 (68.1 ov)
I think that was your fault!
More than likely, I am anathema to any sporting team I am interested in.

200 up for Hampshire! Alsop (7*) has started smartly since joining Smith (77*) - Hants 203-1 (75 ov.) v @ LancsCCC
Attritional. I did a lot of reading.
Naturally they sped up in the last hour after I’d left.
I’m going to offer a dash of positivity…I reckon Hampshire could avoid relegation.
There does seem to be a hint of improvement AND more importantly, the remaining fixtures include all of the teams just above them.
We might just see a repeat of last season.
