The old Hobbits us a revelation- my aged parents go there at least once a week because the food is “so good” - odd because they used to hate that foreign muck…

Not gorgeous but damn weird & my fault for not really understanding Portuguese. Thought I’d ordered a pizza with chillies- got a pizza with a bucket of chilli con carne dumped on top. Damn weird, but in a good way, I think

If you ask for Piri-piri Chicken and they ask you how hot you want it, don’t say…“Oh bring it on, the hotter the better”
Made that mistake once at a Beach Bar. Lips went numb, nose ran, eye-balls bled…you get the picture.

The New York pizza is their own version of the Italian one so I’d hazard a guess thats what they were implying.

I warmed a tin of Stilton and Broccoli soup. It was disgusting. I had two spoons and threw the rest away. Genuinely one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. Not sure why I bought it. It even sounds bad. It’s ruined my evening.
