Another luminary to pass away at a surprisingly young age. Really, 65 is not that old.
She came up with some striking designs and had a real impact on architecture nationally and internationally. She also shook up the architectural establishment when she first arrived on the scene.
The London Olympics Aquatic Centre was an example of her literally making waves.
Wasn’t she the one who designed a stadium that looked like a fanny.

I’m issuing BS two infection points. One for misuse of a thread and secondly for including a photo of a building rather than the poor soul we’re meant to be mourning.
Obviously she was pretty well respected down this way even if most of her work was up your end of town, so been a lot of touching tributes to her from FB & Twitter pals from Yemen to Cairo & Jordan down to here.
Visionary no doubt. Not sure she would have been one of Prince Charles’ favourites though.
