Tbf you do get a different intensity either way - via a garlic crusher it’s more in your face. I tend to use the crusher for more robust meals like bolognaise or chilli

You get the intensity from the squashing, which triggers a greater release of the garlicky flavour than chopping. And I could point out that a ragu bolognese doesn’t have garlic in it, but I’m much too nice to do that.

Any tips on whelks, or onion pickling? :unamused: FFS.:smile:

Errrm…it depends on what you prefer. Plenty of recipes with either out there and pontificating on the web about what’s right / wrong. The one I follow does. šŸ¤·šŸ¼

Hmm Pickled Whelks.
I miss Winkles as well.

Yeah, I know - as with so many classic dishes, you’ll find as many versions as there are people who make them. Many call for whole milk in a bolognese but I rarely use it. And should one use red wine or white? The latter for me, though I’m sure the former would still give decent results.

I like a spoonful of marmite in mine but then I’m a fucking heathen.

Red for me. Hadn’t thought of white. Any specific variety?

Something fairly light and not too acidic - used a pinot grigio last night, and what’s left will help make a gravy for tonight’s roast chicken.

Just happened upon one of LITSL’s gadgets from years gone by. Indispensable at Slowlane Towers, I hear.

Glad you worked it out! It’s a match day game changer and great for all the series and movies.
I’ve grabbed another one in the sale for Kid Goats birthday.
Once a week unplug the stick and reboot and it will update all the apps.
Also make sure you use the page back button on the controller to exit fully when you’ve finished using it otherwise you can get playback errors.
If you have any issues with streams you can try the other apps ( I use ibo -the yellow and black icon mainly) but switch to exodus if there are any issues.
Also the support group is very quick to deal with any problems on match days.
You can even take the stick on holiday and use it abroad.
Enjoy!
