(The machine and not the one in orange shorts)

I wouldn’t mind ploughing through the back of that.

I’ll get me skis.

Oh it’s going to be a fun weekend in Norwich

You have carrots?

OK… so I know its not that interesting, but went for Bose 700 headphones in the end, although had to fib a bit to Mrs MoT on price… very good they are to. When I have them in top noise cancelling mode, I cant hear Mrs MoT or Juvenile version when they are shouting at me

Put them on when she’s waving the bank statement in front of you

Why do I remember something sort of like that when I was a kid?

Tupperware or betterware used to flog something like those.

Right, I invested in a pair of Sony over-ear Sony WH-1000XM3 and they are awesome. Bluetooth, noise cancelling and amazing sound.

I have one track that has only every sounded right once - on my mate’s Naim Audio hi-fi and Linn Sondek LP-12. It’s The Calvary Cross by Richard and Linda Thompson.

It starts with some twangy picked and string bending guitars with a tambourine being randomly shaken across the sound-stage and that gives way to a series of massive blasts of echoey, reverby bass and guitar that hit on the first beat of the first three bars of the verse. Whenever I’ve listened to those blasts coming in on anything - even my own Naim / Naim / Quad setup they’ve never sounded as crisp. These Sonys get closer to my mate’s Naim than anything I’ve heard.

I didn’t really care about the noise cancelling part to be honest but it is astonishingly capable. They can remove most low-level sounds completely and leave you with the music.

Highly recommended.

Fresh coffee kept fresh.

A stainless steel, air-tight container with a CO2 escape valve. Keeps the outside world out but lets the CO2 that the beans release escape so they don’t spoil.

Seems to work really well.

If you are keeping coffee beans long enough to spoil the you are a mere amateur coffee drinker

In fact the one drawback with the container is that it will only hold about 700 grams of beans. Mrs Bletch had told me I can’t buy two.

A kilo of coffee beans should last approx 3 days if ground properly at the time the coffee machines makes a cup of double expresso. just get a coffee machine that holds that amount of beans.
